Shadiyah, aren't you on Tysabri? It could be the start of an exacerbation or not,
but with Tysabri, I'd dbl check every sx that presents itself and gets worse and doesn't go away in a day. You are testing for PML, aren't you? Hope it's just a temp sx and will go away soon. ![]()

i would assess your sx's day by day and notify your dr if this doesn't resolve.
just keep calling the office back to leave your report. if a wk goes by and/or you're worse make an appt. keep us posted.

Hi Shadiyah,

Many of us have been on message boards for a long time and we tend to forget not everyone understand the abbreviations that are used ![]() Below is some information about Numbness and Multiple Sclerosis with links: Quote:

Not all symptoms or even exacerbations (relapse, attack, flare-up) can or should be treated with steroids. Steroids do not fix MS nor do the change the course of the disease. Steroids may help shorten an exacerbation but not always. Steroids are used for acute exacerbations. Steroids have short term as well as long term serious side effects. The more steroids are used the less effective they become. Try to relax, Shadiyah (I know, easier said than done) ![]() If you have more questions please ask.

Don't be surprised if your doctors don't seem to care that you're numb.
That's the thing that I had a hard time wrapping my head around the first time I had something go numb. The fact that doctors don't see numbness as a serious symptom. It's not a serious symptom. It's uncomfortable, and to the person experiencing it. It feels like it's serious. But, doctors don't see it that way, and a lot of times they forget that *we* don't know that. They don't tell us that we shouldn't worry about it. To us, it looks like they don't care. (the jury is still out on that one. There are times that I don't think my doctors give an <expletive> about me.)

Since numbness of my legs was one of my first big symptoms, well actually it was inability to move the legs when I was sitting or laying in bed, my doctor wants to know immediately if I have that kind of symptom
Let us know what happens and good luck. Could it be the stress of the holidays causing some temporary reoccurrence of a previous symptom
