It can be a tough time selling and closing on homes. Not only have we done it 5 times in 34 years due to hubby's transfers, I was a Mortgage Loan Officer and later, a mortgage loan underwriter for years, 1980-1998. It was my profession until MS made me quit in '98.

If I can help answer any appraisal, contract, loan qualifying, inspection, closing cost, title insurance , homeowner insurance, closing costs
questions, escrow, final inspection questions, survey, APR, payment options or other terms, just ask. I can talk about it privately, too.
Best of luck to you!

Has anyone had any success with the AD Cymbalta?

The Dr here at the rehab is switching me to Cym from Prozac. Prozac is not doing the job anymore.

I'm skeered.

Sally, I found this thread on another forum (PN I think) but it might answer some of your questions.......http://neurotalk.psychcentral.com/sh...light=cymbalta

Please don't be sceered, Sally. When I'm feeling that way, I spell it asceered. I don't normally approve of misspelling words on purpose, but they seem to have that "special" meaning when used in conversation such as here, rather than in advertising.

My boyfriend was on Cymbalta for a period of time. He has depression associated with his chronic back pain. It is so hard to offer suggestions about meds because we are each so different; our situations are different, out physiology is different. I could go on about that but I think you understand.

All I can offer is that I hope you find something that works for you!

I was on it...unfortunately it didn't help me much
Mine is the more chronic down type. You certainly should try it though...you never know since each person is different in how they react to a drug.

If Prozac is no longer working, then that type of AD isn't for you. There are so many new formulations! I've heard Wellbutrin works well for chronic depression. If you had access to a 'puter you would be able to research and see which fits your type of depressive symptoms better, I guess...

I remember that Cymbalta works to recapture serotonin to help boost mood. Maybe that will be enough to aide you in your healing, both physical and emotional. I know it also seemed to help my fibro sxs a bit.

In any case I hope that you continue to make progress in your PT and OT. It is quite a challenge, dear one...we are all praying for you and sending thoughts of strength your way... and love, too, of course...

Thanks Kelly, Sparky and Debbie..

So far so good on the switch to Cymbalta. Will see how it goes.

Dr here at rehab has decided to take an xray of my back to see if there is any injury due to my fall in their bathrm. About time, I say.

My hurting, weak back, after that fall, is keeping my PT/OT training from working as well as it should.

Hello from rehab my dear friends.

Well a decision has been made by me. I am going home with 24/7 in home care. It is the only way DD will ok my coming home. It's either that or the nursing home and since I am otherwise healthy, I'll probably live till 95+ and I'm too young for a nursing home. I'm hoping that DD will see that @ 500.00 per day, I won't need 24/7 care and will be able to do it on my own....God willing.

Take care all, you are on my mind.
