Okay, I really don't know the answer to this, did they really make Pukes for the 4th or are all you being nutcakes? I haven't seen this particular variety of the species.
it's 90 degrees now and it's 9:30 PM. Headache seem to be subsiding. Thank goodness. Thought I was going to end up with an LP headache and I WAS NOT GOING TO BE HAPPY ABOUT THAT!

Other than that, feeling somewhat better. Just the usual after IVSM weakness and that crappy feeling that I always get for a few days. Another day of rest and I should be better.

Thanks guys for being there. You are all wonderful!

Well it's 85 degrees outside and 84 inside. I can't hardly think. My husband insisted I get about 5 or 6 estimates today. Plus I had to take my sister to the dr at 2:30. I had estimate guys going out the door as another guy was coming in and on the phone with one while another guy was in the house. It just makes it all the more confusing when you have all those estimates and you have no idea what all those model numbers are anyway. we finally decided on the guy that has serviced our AC for years. He said he would meet another guys price. So now my DH is making me make sure it is written verbatim to be an exact duplicate of the other guys. I can't tell a guy that if his writing isn't verbatim then we won't go with him. DH says that we will go with the other guy which can get a new unit in on friday. This is Tuesday and i am already physically, mentally and emotionally drained. Besides that, I stink! And I don't want to think about drying my hair with a blow dryer and brush and then using a curling brush. So I made a copy of the estimate and he will just have to take it to work with him tomorrow and I'll have the guy talk to him. My poor cat, she's drianed to.

Oh, Doydie, it just sounds so miserable! It also sounds like a good excuse to take a little respite in a nearby hotel. I sure hope they can get you situated quickly. I'd lose it if that happened to me!

Me too. Let's all take a vacation to a hotel in far away place.

That stinks Doydie. I know that I would be either at a hotel or the hospital, if my A/C went out. I hope you get it fixed quickly. Set a bowl of ice cubes in front of a fan.

Cindy, sorry you are out of sorts today. Feel better soon my friend. I want you A-OK when you go on your trip.

Glad to hear that your headache is gone, Cheryl. Tat's one step in the right direction. Soon you'll be back to your old self.

Hi DM, Taffy, RW, Snoopy and all of the rest of you. I hope you are all feeling OK in this heat..Stay cool.

I am so cool today They came out about 8:30, it got up to 86 before everything was up and running and I immediately felt it. I had a nice size fan on in front of me while watching TV. And the minute the ac was on, I could feel a difference in the air that was circulated with the fan. It took 4 hours for it to get to 73 whitch we keep our thermostat turned to all the time. We're $3800 poorer but cool and comfortable.

Hey you guys! Don't know why I never noticed this great thread before -- ms brain I guess. Hope you're chilling doydie!! My A/C is due for a cleaning, etc. Don't know what I'd do without it, especially in the 90+ degree heat we've been having. Last night it looked like rain, but it never got here, but some cooler air did!! Supposed to only be about 80 today. My house temp. is usually about 68 degrees. Any warmer and the pain really starts getting bad!

Been feeling lousy the past few days. Don't know if it's the steroid withdrawal or the result of my stay in the hospital with atrial fibrillation. My coumadin level was still low, but they'll be back to take some more blood on Friday. I'm just tired -- tired -- tired.

But then I saw an obituary in the local paper for a friend who worked at the doctor's office where my GP is. She'd had a backache for awhile and thought nothing of it -- turns out it was cancer of the spine. She did some chemo, but within two months of diagnosis, she's gone. Only 46.

Just sick of being sick, feeling totally useless, trying to figure out the purpose for living like this. I'm sure that's been thought about alot around here. A big hug to all of you........
