Cindy

Here's a suggestion -- at almost every camp ground, there are camp hosts and one of the things they like to do is help people. I am sure that if you decide to take this adventure, you will find a wealth of people to help you with the "chores" that go along with driving and parking your driving hotel!

One nice thing about having one of those driving RVs is you really can just park almost anywhere overnight in parking lots. You don't need no stinking campground. Seriously. You can park in Casino's, your friends driveway (we have an RV dump) and even some rest stops will let you stay overnight. Truckers do!

Can you tell we've done this? Since you are self-contained, the potty won't fill up fast, and when you get somewhere and need to be emptied, then you can call one of the "honey dipper" companies and they will come empty you!

I bet you can even talk to CruiseAmerica and see if they have one available that has a scooter attachment already on it! I've seen them. Check it out....they do have ADA approved rentals.

So, you don't have to stay in campgrounds everywhere you go. Unless it's convenient and that's what you want to do...;)

Jeez,

I guess I better not tell the story of the killer whale pool toy ride with the cooler strapped to it's neck in the class V rapids then...:p Or the one with the truck tire tube, or the one with the boogie board and the flippers.

(whitewater lifejackets were worn ya big baby)

As far as those "pontoon boats with paddles, in these heah pahts we call 'em catarafts. Got access to them too. All I am saying is git heah and we will fix ya up and take you to some sweeeet spots. Course you DO have to run a lil whitewater to get to them yanno...:Sinking: :D

Outta here!

Sleeeeeeeeep

(PS- Go with the RV, it's great!! )

RW, it looks like you and I need a 12-pack and a fire at riverside to compare battle wounds! I can already tell that we are the same kind of people, LOL!!

I did the Grand Canyon, the Snake, the Pine, rapids don't skeer me, and I never wear a lifevest but I so have a CO2 vest to clamp on.

Thing is, the legs are kind of gone, so survival techniques have to be adjusted.

I'm off in the other direction soon, and I've washed the camper idea. One major consideration is the due date. I go where, when, how, and as long as I and the $$ hold out. I don't want to be on a deadline.

I'm just gonna go until I can't. It is final!

Silly Flygirl, that's not the kind of campground I'm talking about. If there's a host family, it's out of the question! I hated seasonal campers when I was in the business and I don't want them around me now.

I might go get one to take a short trip just for fun, but I'm reaching the point where it's getting to feel complicated and my inner voice is saying, "abort! abort!

I would NEVAH, EVAH sleep in a parking lot, and I don't own a Winnebago jumpsuit.

They do have several in Alaska that they want brought back down...

Well fine...I was just offering some suggestions -- be that way! :p You brought it up! And what the heck is a Winnebago jumpsuit? And what would you do with it?

Your Honda is user friendly and you would probably be more comfortable in it anyway! :D

I had a wonderful visit yesterday with SSon Chris. We laughed and talked for three hours. I didn't even get a nap and didnt need it...LOL. Time just flew. He'll be joining his SO (ArmyGirl) back in Hawaii, where she is based, at the end of the month.

Below is his Iraqi disguise picture..:p :p He is a very handsome man under all that hair. This is how he came back to me yesterday. He will be shaving it off, but is wearing it for the shock value, now..The scamp.

My little boy is 44 yrs old now but is still 17 in his heart and mind....just like his Father..LOL.

Yikes! If I didn't know that he is your little boy, I'd stay out of his way!

He does have those striking features, deep black eyes, chiseled skull cap, well-trimmed beard. He's a hunk!

LOL, shut up. The Airstream clubbers and the Winnebago dudes are totally into wearing these dweebie little jumpsuits when roadtripping. They are kind of the leisure suit of road warriors. Those and the ugly vented mesh hush puppies with black socks. You've probably seen them and assumed they were going to check your oil and wash your windshield. LOL!!!!
