Hi folksies..:) How you be? I'm good to go, just bored from inactivity. Nobody calls me anymore, accept my DD and Bro, once in awhile.

My So called Friends have their lives to live and since I am unable to take an active part...I am forgotten. I don't blame them. I'd probably be just as thoughtless, if I were out there still having fun. :D

I try to be a good friend and stay in touch, but, in all honesty, I guess I have fallen down on the job. I am always here for them in spirit and I let them know that, but they still don't call or drop over. Out of sight, out of mind, I guess.;)

I'm not sad or having a pity party here, just whining about my booooooooring life.:D

I hear ya, Eva. Heat and humidity are not our friends. You rest and tomorrow will be better, I promise.:)

Cheryl, are you going to post the pics here or in chat? I can't wait to see them. I hope all went smoothly at the Dentist...EEK!

I'm glad you, LMN and Taffy are taking care of those rotten BoyScouts..Muahahahaha!

So Sorry that you weren't able to take part in the hike, Taffy...it sucks..:( How did it go?

More later....It's just all happening so fast, I can't keep up.. ..LOL

I hear ya, Sally.
Since I moved from OH 2-1/2 years ago. No one in my family calls me. If I call them they are too busy to talk long. Send b-day gifts, no response. I hear from my friends that they are concerned. Why can't they tell me?

Okay, maybe I am a bit whiney today. I'm gonna blame it on the rain. Yes, rain, or should I say lots of humidity. Very heavy air dragging me down. Not used to it anymore.

Better go get some M&Ms to cheer me up. Look I'm smiling. :)

Hello Sally,
I can send you a bunch of numbers for our contractors to deal with. They call me or Michael all day during the day at work and want to chat all day. Do they not realise we both are trying to work?

I then pull up in our neighbourhood and many of our neighbours are outside playing with their children. I'd love to talk, but I'm tired, hot, and ready to lie down for a bit. I think some of them think I'm being very unfriendly, but I honestly just want to get into the house, get dinner started, and wait for Michael to come on home. Tell me I'm not a bad neighbour, PLEASE!!!:o

Sweetie, where Taffy's concerned, it makes you an accomplice.

AfterMyNap 07-20-2007 07:24 AM

Sal, any better today? I understand that feeling of isolation, it can be so overwhelming at times.

SallyC 07-20-2007 09:20 AM

Thanks for asking, Cindy. I sorta feel it every day, but then something happens to make me realize that I am being thought about. My DD, Julie, called last evening, just to talk and see how I was. That picked me right up and made me feel foolish.

I live vicariously thru others...LOL! I love hearing life going on in the background, as Julie and I are talking. Four rug rats seeing what they can get by with, crying, laughing whining, giggling and then silence. That's when DD usually has to go..ha ha..

I really chose to be a hermit and not go places and do things. I could have chosen tolet my Family and Friends drag me around with them to different places, but it was a REAL "Drag"..LOL

I like being alone, for the most part and I'm not really a phone person, so the lack of calls can be a good thing. I do a lot of communication with E-mail and I do hear from people all the time...even my SSon in Iraq.

BTW,yesterday my SSon Chris e-mailed me that he will be home from Iraq in a week...never to return....WoooooHooooo!! Of course, then he'll be moving back to Hawaii to be with SO, where she is stationed, for another year.

Glad you had such a great visit with your Friend, Cindy. Now, see, the way I am, I wouldn't have done what you did. I probably would have had her over for lunch, because I don't drive or go anywhere. :p

I really don't have anything to Biotch about, but that's no fun..LOL!

Hugs,

Sally Sson is coming home from Iraq! Yeah!

Now the bad news....................

All the chocolate was eaten and not by Taffy!

AfterMyNap 07-21-2007 08:46 AM

How we doing today, everyone? Perfect weather in MI is leading to a lovely day. I'm in the infusion center just now and will be going east a couple hours to do lunch with some buds from another board.

I'm on a mission to spread unwanted excess stuff that I recently quit.

So, anyway, that's about all the excitement I have for today. Oh, I need gas and I should probably visit the ATM too. Woo hoo! What demands I place on my time and energy!:Dunno:

I am glad to hear that!

I am still not up to speed - geez I tell you - (maybe ask) will the exacerbation every go away? I slept another 14 hours yesterday!

Company arrived from Salt Lake last night and BIL and nephew left this morning. DH and Holly (the lovable lab) left with Salt Lake guests for McCall and I will follow shortly. I have a couple of things to take care of before I head up...business things.

I will be MIA for a few days - hey Taffy - NEWS FLASH - no laptop! Well I am taking it but only because I have a presentation to prepare for City Council Tuesday night but NO INTERNET! Are you proud of me!! LOL!

And I have two client presentations to prepare for on Friday. Yeah, I do have some work to do, but I can do that while everyone else is out doing all those activities...

But these are the "peep" people. And the girls brought me a whole bag of peep goodies. We are going to have fun. Pictures to follow in few days!

Heck Sally your day was more exciting than mine. I slept most of the day and never got to the cleaning.

I went to Starbucks this evening and was going to take a ride but came upon some young people who were blocking both lanes at a traffic light and were out of there cars fighting......decided I just wanted to go home.

Here's part of AMN's day yesterday. Who is hitting on who? or is that whom?

And DM, my dear, you fail miserably at 20 questions.

AfterMyNap 07-22-2007 12:31 PM

Ugh. My truck runneth over (my head and body). Those maniacs totalled me yesterday, and like an idiot, I went on to a party that kept me out into the wee hours.

I'm too young for this crap! Dangit, I had a blast! Now I must pay.

Eva, the sad part is, I have less than 10% of the energy I once had. Sometimes I wonder if it was really me hiking, walking miles and miles in a day. Or schlepping 75 kids around a park all day, or working 20 hours straight and going right back to the office ready to jump back in every morning. She died! I miss her.

Beethoven went deaf, my hallmark was unquenchable exuberance and abounding energy. Once in awhile, I just have to unleash it for fear of emotional suicide. I assure you, I will regret it a little for a few days. But, I maintain, it was worth it.:D

SallyC 07-22-2007 01:42 PM

WooooooooHoooooooo, Cindy..:D

Good Monday Morning to all of you good people.:D I woke up

Our weather is kinda humid today...looks like rain..:rain: It doesn't matter...I'm not going anywhere, anyways.;)

So, how are you, Sue, Cindy, MaryAnn, LeeAnn, Beth, Chris, Chris66, Taffy, EvaLouWho, Cheryl, Sassy, FlyFishingMomma and who did I forget?

Hey FFM, how are you doing with all your changes? Are you mad yet? I feel for ya, having to give up the good stuff and stuff yourself with the yucky stuff, just to be healthier...Bah!! We lived the good life when we were younger and now we're paying for it..IT SUCKS, I TELL YA..SUCKS!!!

Speaking of paying......Has Cindy come up for air yet, after her great adventure?? Breath in, breath out and rest as much as you can, dahlink. I'm rootin for you.

I deem this a day of no pain, no spasms, no hornet stings, no fatigue and no Neuro's appointments.:p :Good-Luck:

Ok, I'm done being possitive now...You can all boo me and go back to bed. I really do wish those things for you, though, so there..:p :p

I'm going to watch a little Court TV now...my action for the day..LOL

Carry On..:D

MSacorn 07-23-2007 09:59 AM

Morning Sally

What a cheerful greeting this morning. Thank you for being you. :Thanx:

This is lengthy so skip if you like.
I spend 6 hours thowing darts Sunday. I won the qualifier after a tiebreaker best of 5 playoff. Yea me. :Excited: I've been throwing steel tip darts for 2-1/2 years and this is the first qualifier I've won. I'm sharing this with you all cuz SO didn't seem excited. I was dead tired, hot (no a/c at the bar), and nausous (sp?) too. I didn't think I'd beat my friend, but I had another that is supportive and concerned and cheered me on. :) :)

Oh, and I still have the headache, boy was it hurting when I got home. :Wheel: I took a cool shower and tried watching tv. I moved up to bed and fell asleep for 5 hours. I have been awake since 2am mdt. I'm tired now and heading to sleep. :Zzzz:

I just had to share my joy. Thanks for being here. This place rocks. :You-Rock: too.

:OuttaHere: A peaceful pain free day is wished for everyone. :grouphug:

EvaLouWho 07-23-2007 10:30 AM

Good mornin all:) Rainy day here, but feeling good after all the sleep! Today tho is a good nap day!

Cindy, I understand :( , not what I used to be either. Hauling this carcass is not what I expected, ever. The old me is gone, may she rest in peace.

On a cheerful note, woke up, alive, can see and move, what more can a person ask for  .

Have a wonderful day everyone!!!!!!!!!!

AfterMyNap 07-24-2007 12:58 PM

Geez, I go to sleep for a couple days and everyone disappears!

I am still paying for my fun day, mostly taking it easy and perfecting my vertical napping technique. The tricky part is not falling out of the chair.

The weather in MI is right tolerable, a little warmer than I'd like, but pretty good.

I'm really, really tired.

Tomorrow I'll be off to Greenfiled Village to soak up a little living history with some friends from CA. I'll spend the night over there, no way can I do the 2.5hr. drive after a full day of goofing around. I just hope I can gather a little energy between now and 6:00am when I have to head over there!

Is anyone still here?

*tapping on monitor*

Hellloooo?

Hellloooo?

I took a couple of days off. Honestly and truly. Went away without my computer. Taffy, see I can do it. I am home for overnight and then back out for til Friday.

I think Idaho a burning up, literally. There are fires everywhere and smoke is horrible. The planes are flying all the time and it is getting worse. I think this the worst fire season we have had in years.

We sat on the lake in the boat yesterday and could count 4 fires in the mountains around us. Those were just the ones we could see. It's awful. Those firefighters and smokejumpers are getting worn thin. There is a huge smoke jumpers base at the airport where we are staying, and the staging area is full of planes, helicopters and tents and gear and every thing imaginable. The town is full of fire fighters and rigs and vehicles from all over the country. It's amazing how these groups pull together to help each other.

And it's only July.

Oh yeah, I almost forgot - Taffy we had fun with peeps. The girls from Salt Lake brought me a whole bag of peeps stuff and we had fun throwing peeps out for the fish. Squaw fish love peeps! I am not kidding. You tear 'em up in to little pieces and those stupid squaw fish will hit 'em and eat 'em! Better than wasting bait! Squaw fish aren't good for eating but they sure are fun to taunt with peeps! They especially like the purple ones! LOL!

SallyC 07-24-2007 06:22 PM

Yeaaaa Beth...Congratulations. Does this mean you will now be going to the Dart Throwing Chmpionship? :)

Well, Cindy, I tried to rouse everyone, but only some listened..LOL! Glad you are getting all rested up for your next jaunt....have fun.

Hi Cheryl, nice to see you back on your merry-go-round.

Hi Eva, Nice to see you too.

:D

No, I wish. I just earned $30 towards $110 entry fee to Regional tournament winner of that goes to a national tournament. Still it is the first time I've won an event.

I've earned trickle down money, from those that couldn't play in regionals, to pay part/all of the fees in the past. I played in 5 regional events in a row, they are held 4 times a year. Last one I worked since I had been sick with this MS and didn't play in any qualifiers.

I appreciate your interest. I still smile when I think of my accomplishment. Yea me. (patting my self on the back ... again) :)

Taffy 07-24-2007 07:23 PM

Hi everyone!

Hey Beth congrats on the darts! That's great! That's hard to do!

Cindy, enjoyed the lunch pics! That Kay gets around!

Cindy how was Greenfield village? I haven't been there in years although it's only a 45 min drive from me. I'll have to check it out one of these days, what's it cost these days?
Pat

Taffy 07-25-2007 10:51 AM

Sorry you're sick Beth. What's up?

Taffy 07-25-2007 11:31 AM

I probably won't be around all that much the next week or so.

(A hush goes over the crowd. Applause and high fives are shared all around.)

All right knock it off! Jokers!

My baby is coming home for a visit!:trampoline:

I said Son, during your time here what would you like to do?
Go to the Beach he said. (pause) :Scratch-Head: :Head-Spin:  :ROTFLMAO:

The Beach? Yep, the beach. :Scratch-Head: :Head-Spin:  :ROTFLMAO:

Now, you are all thinking you live in Western Washington, take the poor kid to the beach.

FG have you gotten up from the floor yet? (she knows where he lives)

You see, Son lives in Hawaii. He goes to the beach all the time. Nice, warm, beaches.

But no-o-o, he wants to go to the Arctic beaches of Washington, visit the little fishing town, breath in the salty, maggot infested air and do a little crabbing.

I think we will run him up to the mountain too!

I am sure the stories will start. The time I locked the keys in the car. The time the truck got stuck in the sand. How about the time his brother left his clothes at home.

Maybe going to the beach isn't a bad idea after all.
