Cherie
I am so sorry for your and hubbys loss of dear Bessie. She sounds like a wonderful friend who will be sorely missed.

I am sure our familys' two shar pei, Brandi and Misty Blue, will be BFF with your Bessie. They were fond of their bandanas too. Must be a girl thing.

Please remember to breathe. It seems hard to do sometimes. You gave her a very loving home and for that she had more comfortable years then expected. Take care.

I'm so sorry Cherie

Just know you gave her a good and loving home when her world was no longer stable. You made her last years happy.

My sympathies on your loss. My beloved lab Stella died this past December, and I still miss her every day. In some ways we become closer to our furry friends than to the human ones. You did a wonderful thing giving Bessie such a loving home. Peace be with you.

Awwww Cherie -- I'm so sorry for your loss of Bessie. As others have said, at least she had some good years with you and your hubby. I'm such a softie when it comes to dogs, especially the "seniors". It's so sad when people don't want them any longer when they aren't as playful, etc. as they used to be. My little Bichon is sleeping on the floor next to my powerchair and I wonder how much longer -- she's 15.

You mentioned you'd been at Lake Hopatcong -- when I was a kid we used to go to Bertrand Island Amusement Park there. That's where I had my first roller coaster ride! My family had a cottage at Lake Lackawanna and we lived in Hackettstown. In Netcong there used to be a little 5 & 10 where I bought doll clothes. Holey moley -- that was back in the dark ages!! Small world!

In time, I'm sure you'll be fostering again (keeping?). Take care.
