Default Back from new neuro visit

Whew! It is good to be home. I want to thank all who offered supportive words yesterday.

I feeling like I'm in a better place now. The new doc was great, very detailed. I was glad to do the hoop jumping of a good exam. I usually test pretty well, just this uncontrollable pain in hands, overall numbness, and hypersensitive skin and the fatigue. Good golly!

He went over my latest MRI's and pointed out the leisions. I only have 2-3 in brain and 5 in c-spine, maybe 1 in t-spine. He said there was a disconnect between my head and spine.

I said what? I was under the impression my head was connected pretty securely. He meant there is a big discrepancy in the leision number in my head vs spine. He wanted to test for other autoimmune diseases. They drew 8 vials of blood. If anything shows up, they'll call. No news is good news. I'll follow-up in 3 months.

I asked about getting off anti-siezure med and he said no, but would test the levels. Apparently I'll be on them forever.

He doesn't do narcotics or headaches, so is sending notes to PCP. I guess I'll be seeing him soon enough. All and all a good day. My head is killing me. I hear my pillow calling. Later

Hey, Beth, that's great! Finding a good one is 75% of the battle.

Too bad about the seizure meds, but better than having the bloody things, I'd guess.

Here's to your good health, girl.

Thanks AMN
I was pretty pleased overall. I should have gone to him first, but he is way on the other end of the city and I hate to drive. DSO was good enough to take me, but said I was on my own after today. Maybe he will forget by my next appointment. I drive a manual and it is tiring not to mention painful with my hands and feet being my weak links. It's such a huge city and it takes 30-40 minutes depending on traffic. I'm getting tired just thinking about it.

I'm just a bit afraid about what the bloodwork might find. I know what will be will be, ca-sa-ra and all that. I just am impatient and a worrier.

Ok, I've had a good day and know my level of care will be far superior then I've been getting. Reminds me of my days w/Cleve Clinic Mellen Cntr.

I'm rambling so good night.

Oh, Yea! And the vampire said he has taken 15 from one guy. And another vampire took 20. OMG I was shocked.

On another note, I haven't slept since my nap yesterday afternoon. Lots of meds have made me woosy , but [sleep ] has left me behind. I'm thinking of taking my morning meds and trying to sleep. They usually make me drowsy. What to do, I'm obviously in a fuzzy brain state.
