To straighten out the world, to make it better for us Gimps.
![]() Our healthcare should not be putting us in the poorhouse, while our government leaders and healthcare professionals live a, worry free, life of splender. ![]() I'm talking USA, here and how our Government, "Of the People, By the People. FOR the People can allow this to happen to our law abiding Citizens. This is Not political....It's basic human rights, which, BTW, are guaranteed to us, under our Constitution..... "Life, Liberty and the Pursuit of happiness". It's not possible to enjoy these rights if we are ill and can't afford to get basic healthcare. Is there anything we can do, besides vote for these money sucking neanderthals?? There must be. ![]()

I'm trying, Sal, I'm not as active as I could be, but I'm working toward legislation that would forbid Congress & Senate from legislating their own pay raises. My current formula is the national median income +20%, pay into SS like everyone else, and pay into their own regular 401k, salary ceases when they leave office. Medical and other expenses expire upon retirement/voted out. No COBRA. They would also be penalized financially for missing votes.
These are supposed to be public servants, not a monarchy. The catch is that it has to be written to take effect 20 years from passing so that the greedy bastards can get what they really want for themselves.

I'll carrry a picket sign for ya, Sal!
![]() ![]() I know what your'e saying though. My DS is visually impaired and we pay thru the roof to get him the type of coverage he needs. It's so unfair.

I've often said I would never wish this disease on anyone. I take it back. I can think of some people to whom a good case of MS, preferably PP, would do a power of good.
Rather like Reagan, who ended up with Alzeimer's, which seemed like instant karma. For those who have forgotten, it was Reagan -- through his hatchet man/thug Califano -- who purged the SSD roles, aiming for all the disabled but targeting, in particular, the mentally disabled. Chris |

I've been around. I went on a cruise to the Bahamas during the last week in August -- a gift from my brother, who also provided the means for Lisa to go, both so I would have a caregiver along, and a thank-you from him for her love and care of me.
But almost from the moment we returned, things have gone bad.... The week after Ambrose, my cat for fifteen years, disappeared. He's been gone for ten days; he would never not come home if he could do. There've been no dead cats on the roads around here, and I've called the local dog control person and the shelters, talked to the neighbors. But he's just....gone. Not the first domestic cat to disappear from this area, either. Coyotes. The area is polluted with them, and they're opportunistic hunters. No, he's dead, I feel it. I just hope it was fast, and he never knew what hit him. They're all gone now, my family: the horse, both dogs, and now the cat. MS is raging -- mostly bowel troubles, spasticity, and weakness. All in all, I'm not exactly leaping from the bed with the glad cry of morning. Chris |

Aw Chris, I'm so sorry about your dear Kitty. How awful.
![]() If you had to have an attack, I'm glad it waited until you were back from your marvelous vacation. What a nice thing for your Brother to do. Sorry that everything is hitting the fan now. I hope it all calms down so you can relax and enjoy talking about your trip. ![]()

So sorry about you kitty cat. I too hope it was quick. I agree with Sally the stress of the loss could be spurring on the MonSter. Sounds like a great trip to the Bahamas. Any pix? Please rest yourself and feel better soon. I'll keep my good thoughts going for you. ![]()
