I get all kinds of weirdness happening with my hearing. It'll suddenly deaden in one ear, for no apparent reason. Or it'll start ringing out of the blue (more of a high pitched tone than a ring). sometimes it'll do both in rapid succession. Come to think of it, I've never had it checked out. I guess I just assumed it happened to everybody.
