So sorry you guys are going thru a rough time right now. I hope you start to feel better and really soon!
![]() Leg has been pretty tight today and having a lot of eye jumpyness. Oh well. Here is something to make you all chuckle: I was at a funeral today and during the middle of the sermon vertigo and nystagmus hit. I figured 'just sit and ride it out'. What are our choices, eh? Anyway, from behind me a woman's hand grabs my shoulder and gently pushes me back upwards towards vertical. Apparently I had started to lean over to my left while sitting there, and I couldn't even tell it was happening. She probably thinks I was passing out, three sheets to the wind. If she only knew! Never got to see her at the end to say thanks. Imagine the conversations in her car as she drove home- ROTFL jane

Hello everyone. I really don't like to complain much about my symptoms, aches, pains, etc. but yesterday and today have been quite troublesome for me. The weather here has been quite cold and rainy, which seems to add havoc to my body (don't know if it is the barometric pressure or not). When the weather is like this I seem to have more difficulty walking, thinking, and the bladder is more inconstant. Why can't the weather stay between 45 and 60 degrees all the time? LOL

I'm fairly stable right now compared to times in the past. I've gone from working full-time last December to 2 days one week, and 3 days the next. I think this schedule is far more suited to someone like me. I'm going to be starting back on Tysabri soon (again), and look forward to getting some of my energy back. My worst complaint right now is SEVERE FATIGUE! ![]() To all of you who are experiencing bad days right now, I wish you all well. Better days are ahead (at least that's what I try and tell myself every morning ![]() Lovely and sweet post dear Sal!!! I hope you get to the doc soon, Cheryl. ![]() All the best, Chris

i'll chime in too but i'm boring.
it's the same pain day after day. when my body's had enuf i have to go to bed. my legs aren't too good either but i'm still walking and driving and i'm independent so that's a good thing. my left leg is particularly bothersome. weak and have trouble sitting, standing, and walking for very long. i always use a cane and alternately use my scooter and walker. i've been on copaxone and recently started methotrexate. i can't really tell if it's doing anything so am inclined to think it isn't. there's nothing i can do about all this so i grin and bear it. i'm generally very +. you play the hand you're dealt the best way you can. that's about the most i've said about my MS problems. over and out. ![]()

Hey, thanks everyone, for chiming in on this thread.
![]() Every once in awhile we just have to vent a little about this messy mean disease that life has dealt us. ![]() I know we like to have fun here and laughter is good medicine but don't stop reaching out when you're hurting and need a little lift. That why we are here, because, when our Family and Friends don't understand and think we're just being complainers, we do understand and know better. Some of our complaints are not always caused by MS. but MS makes everything worse...even a simple cold. Some of the DMDs may lower our resistance to germs and infection....so when we get sick, we really get sick. A big group hug for all here who are going through especially bad times right now. ![]()

Guess I'll chime in as well. My MS is rather ticking me off as I'm dealing with my fourth bout of ON, this time in my good eye.
![]() Now the weather here's not helping, although we might actually get to 30 degrees today but we'll have to deal with snow...spring where are you? LOL |

It's been SO cold here in Georgia this past week - not sure if that has anything to do with the pain I have in my hands and arms.
I've been in a flare since October 2007 - my right hand is still numb and now the back of my right leg and my right "butt" is numb ![]() I'm taking Neurontin for the pain - not sure if that's strong enough but it's all my Neuro will prescribe. I'm not complainin' though! Too much to be thankful for - including this AWESOME new board to keep my mind occupied. This place is HUGE - but I love it! Hope everyone is feeling better today ![]()

OK - I'll go next.
Life has been extreeeeeeemely stressful lately. We moved my folks into assisted living and then Mom was diagnosed with lung cancer and a 90% coronary artery blockage. ![]() We've been making the rounds of docs in preparation for her surgery on Wednesday. Needless to say, I have been somewhat neglecting my own health, and feeling it. Yesterday I managed to get some "me" time with my massage therapist. It was heaven. ![]() I must say, had I neeed to do this all a year ago, when I was on Rebif and monthly IVSM and feeling generally lousy, it just would not have happened. I feel better on Tysabri, and that has helped me get through all of this stress. OK, enough whine. Anyone have some cheese????? ![]()

My Turn! My Turn!
![]() First - Thanks for this thread. It's a wonderful Idea. ![]() Second - I've come to consider my MS a rollar coaster ride and I really want to get off! ![]() It seems like I don't get a break. If one thing settles down, another comes up. If I'm not cog-foging (cognitive issues), then the physical seems to act up. I fell the other day, but it was also one of my most clear headed days too. I'm numb all the time, just varies in degrees. Have to be careful taking baths or drinking coffee since I sometimes can't feel how hot everything is. Sorry if this was a downer, but I think I really needed to vent. Thanks for listening.

Did get Sage to the Vet for her pre-testing. Was feeling tired when I left.
By the time we got home I could barely get myself up the stairs into the house. I don't know what is happening this time I am so weak and I feel like I am made of Jello. I can't think clear my body does not want to go where I want it to go. I just want to go to sleep but yet cannot fall asleep. Does that make sense? ![]() ![]() My body is also hurting with sharp electrical shock feelings hitting is some places. I am one big mess today. Also still with the vision problems. Have a good day everyone. Joyce ![]() |
