Thanks so much everyone for the get well wishes.

Today was better for me. I didn't walk around as much. I find I can put weight on the toes/ball of my foot for a moment at a time. That makes walking, not hopping on crutches easier. I use the second crutch to help me stay balanced, and I still am bouncing off the walls and stuff.

I also thought my vision was going this weekend. But, I just bent my glasses back in to shape and voila I can see!

I'm counting the days to PT. I can't believe I'm looking forward to torture.

A question for RW and others who have been through this. Is it normal to have this feeling of pressure rushing down to my ankle after having it elevated (or not pointed down)? I swear, I can watch a donut of fluid gather like a spare tire around the belly.

Thanks everybody, I don't how I get through life without you all!

I have to share this with all of you

As you know I have a german shepard "Sage" 7months old.

I was watching a program about how these horrible people in this world
train certain dogs for fighting each other for money. That this of course is
illegal.
They showed two dogs fighting and the damage one did to the other to
win and kill it. Well me the great lover of animals started to cry. Next thing
I realize Sage is sitting in front of me, patting me with her paw. She then
came up to my face and started to lick my tears. This made me cry even
more to realize the love of a Dog. They do understand when you are hurting.
They have more understanding and love then some people have.

This is why I hate the expression when you hear someone say "It was
only a dum dog"

I am so happy that I got her to help me fill in the emptiness in my life.
Each day she does something different, that makes me happy she is here.
OH don't get me wrong some days I feel the opposite when she acts like
a Spoiled Teenager (dog years) But who spoiled her

Hi to all my old buddies.

I miss the smaller conection we had. It is a little harder to find everyone.
Also to start up a cyper gimmick like our cruise.

Just want to send this message to all and wish a

HAPPY VALENTINE DAY

to you and the new buddies.

Thank you Jappy,
I'm also having a rough time finding everyone. I hope everyone has a lovely holiday tomorrow.

All the best,
Chris

Yes it is normal. STAY OFF IT! Keep it elevated and iced( or warmed, whatever they told you to do!) and wrapped! Take your pain meds!

They didn't give you crutches for decoration! Use them. It will heal faster if you let it heal rather than trying to use it.

Mine used to throb every time I would take it down from elevation. Man, that hurt enough so I still remember it! I could feel it swelling!

The glasses thing was FUNNY!

Hope the PT helps and you get back on your feet, both of them, soon! Let us know how it goes.

Hi Everyone

How was your Valentine Day? Anyone get something real special
as a gift.

Being that my DH isn't with us anymore, I was sort of down in
the dumps. I said to myself "NO" Joyce you can't let this get to you.
You have been doing better lately. SO I put SAGE in the car and went to
the store. Bought a box of Valentine Candy, some other good stuff. Went
home and ate some. Sage and I had a good day. Now today I am sorry about
all the calories I had.

I feel like I put on 5 extra pounds. "O" WELL

It did help.
