I know this doesn't apply to you, but I had that unpleasant choking sensation a few times...when I had to swallow my pride.

Maybe we need to be like The Bird and develop a gizzard! Bet she doesn't choke!
I'm used to swallowing my pride! This is definitely different. I have a call into the doc.

Gigi - I've had this happen once for a few days this past December. It was a weird feeling. I had the most difficulty swallowing water and solid, solids (crackers, meat, etc.). Everything just got stuck and seemed to be sitting at the very back of my throat.

I did talk to neuro about it at my 4 mo visit but since it didn't last long and I was able to work around it I never called back. (Bad girl, I know).

Anyhow, the NMSS's website has some great tips. I did drink cold, thicker liquids (smoothies are great for this) and it really helped. I also am trying to learn to drink fluids before I eat and not while I am eating.

I hope you are doing better. Let us know.
