I am going to see him on Monday, he is going to try to get me in. The pain is starting to drive me nuts. It's not a sharp pain it is the dull kind and nothing is touching it.

The bulging may be the result of swelling in the back of your eye which would explain why you eye seems to be buldging out some.
I hope you are going to see an Opthamologist and not just an Optician. An optician isn't equiped for this type of evaluation and determination of the cause from a purely medical standpoint. Keep us informed.

Get to the eye doctor or an ER as soon as you can.
One thing that MS has taught me is to never ever ever ever ever ever ever ever never ever mess with your eyes! If they hurt like you're describing, they're trying to tell you something. |

I have to go to my regular eye doc first to get things covered by INS. He was the one who first told me that my vision loss was MS. I called him back last night and he said that I would be ok but, if the pain got to a 7 on the 1-10 scale than he would met me at the office at what ever time. (with an extra charge ). I also have a call in to the other eye doc I saw he will be calling me back today. I think he is an Opthamologist, he sent me for an MRI and to the Neuro the first time. I will let you know what he said THANKS

Please get in as soon as you can. The pain is one thing but the bulging could be something very serious. Let us know what happens.

I don't know if this helps or not. But for several years before my MS dx I had occassional eye pain, and I swear my eyes would feel like they bulged! Not a lot, no one else could tell, but you know.
I have an eye condition, and go annually for my check ups, and when I asked the Optho about it, he dismissed it. The pain couldn't possibly be related to my Fuch's, but he didn't go any further than that. As for the swelling/bulge, he said something like he didn't see anything now, and was I sure, etc. Patronizing. (I don't see him anymore.) I look back on it now and wonder if it was the MS. I'm sorry you're having to wait, but if my problem was similar to yours, I am not aware of suffering any permanent eye damage since that time. I hope you find it to be the same. ![]() |
