I guess there was a question...whatever it was,

I'm sorry you're sick. I hope you feel better soon. If I could figure out how to do the cute graphics, I'd insert one to cheer you up. Take care of yourself, drink plenty of fluids, rest, and watch your tylenol intake. ![]()

Thanks for giving me some rueful smiles!
At work I have to be careful to write down appointments and tasks. Otherwise I can forget. I have a Dana Palm Pilot which helps and I use Outlook at work for appointments (everyone has to do this). I'm trying to be mindful - to be totally in the present so that I don't forget things. I've locked myself out of my unit 4 times in the last 13 months and that is costly. Sometimes I forget to turn a hot plate off and that can be dangerous. My most annoying thing, however, is that I seem to miss words when I write and I have developed an annoying habit of whispering to myself when I type. Preparing for tasks and days well, trying to remain in the present and reflecting on what has been done and needs to be done during the day and week is really helpful for me. Getting plenty of sleep, or as much as I can, is essential too. It's hard sometimes to work out what is due to MS, what is due to normal ageing (I'm 60) and what is due to a busy life with all the distractions we all have. I was interested in the story about not being aware where one's hip is (can't remember the name of the person who told it!). That kind of disorientation is awful but human too. Once I was driving down a well-known street and couldn't remember which way I was going - that was 30 years ago however! I think when those things happen a few times in a row you may have cause to worry! Thanks for sharing, every one ![]() ![]() . |
