![]() ![]() Ok, now let's see if I can get this out coherently YES, you can have "nerve pain issues" (neuropathy) that don't (doesn't) show on EMGs and probably lots of folks here on this board are in that position. EMGs are done to check for electrical impulses produced in your muscles and you probably had a Nerve Conduction Test (nasty little needles and shocks) along with it which measures how quickly messages are carried by your nerves, i.e. to check for Carpal Tunnel Syndrome. Both of these can be perfectly normal and the person can still have a multitude of neuropathies stemming FROM WITHIN the brain and/orspinal cord rather than from nerves going TO or FROM the brain or spinal cord. Is it possible the Doc said you didn't have Peripheral Neuropathy? That would fit better. ![]()
