at the same time, my ex-husband's BROTHER came down with MS.

he's PPMS, and in really bad shape... my ex witnessed loss of bowel-control, and wheelchair confinement, and got frightened, and SUED me for custody of our son, who was then a teenager.

meanwhile, my sister, and two brothers moved far away, so I was handling all of this (MS, court, single-parenthood, deaths of friends and mom) all ALONE.

I fought tooth-and-nail in court, and won... but by the end, I was so exhausted, that I sent my son to live with his father...

Ben, aged 16, lived with Dad, that lasted only six months, until my son called, and begged to come home.

Ben lived with me for the next few years, graduated HS, and is now in college.

all I can offer you Sheena, is that this WILL pass, may take some time, and a lot of sadness and pain, but you will get through it, and it will all eventually work out.

reaching out, as you are doing, is GOOD.

I am not alone anymore nowadays.
