Today has been one week since my incision flared up again. It has been driving me nuts and hurts and wearing me out. I have a lot of patience but it is really running out over this constant pain for almost 5 weeks.

After I took my shower, I looked at it in the magnifying mirror and saw some little things sticking out of both ends, where all the darn pain is. I got my tweezers and pulled on one and it was a stitch!!! I pulled 2 more out and the relief was immediate. I pulled on the 4th stitch and it just kept coming until it hurt so I stopped immediately and called the surgeon's office.

They had me come in immediately. I threw on some clothes and drove myself to get there before their office closed. It's only about a mile from my house.

The nurse said that occasionally the stitches don't dissolve and come to the surface. That's just GREAT!

She said that everything looked fine and I already knew that since this was my second pacemaker. I just didn't know why there were threads popping out of my skin. I'm supposed to call them if things don't get better and in the meantime take pain pills and be more careful using my right arm.

I needed to vent and now I feel all better mentally but not physically.
