Haven't read everyone else - but yes!! you are so normal!!

I was dx'd in 2001 and the giant concrete block of fear hung over my head for 2 years. I worried that having trouble going up the stairs was a symptom (nope - I was just fat!), I imagined that I was having weird sensory issues, but it turns out that I had sat in some mortar while tiling my bathroom! I'm a worrywort - I can imagine a symptom like noone else!!

Good news is that it does go away! It did when I started hanging out on Message boards and talking to other people. Once I saw lots of people living well despite MS, the fear started receding. A counselor helped a lot too.

Don't fret, you'll get there. And despite getting a stinky dx, you've now got a whole new group of friends

I don't think I have welcomed you yet. So welcome!

I forget that I have MS even though I have sx daily....it has just become part of who I am...then sometimes it reminds me (like walking across a grassy field w/ low heels on...ugly)
