I hope the finger thing is from overuse and pressure from the spray cans!

Is it the only symptom you are experiencing?

Did you do the spraypainting outside???

Hope things are better today!!

Hi RW!

I am hoping that is all it is...overuse. But I am having other symptoms, drunk feeling, numb in my face, ear and leg. Maybe it is all linked??? I don't know.

I did do the painting outside. No snuffing the fumes here Twink!!! Although maybe that is why I am dizzy...no that is just the blonde hair

MSacorn, the project was worth it. I had 6 wrought iron chairs that were green and I painted black. Now I just have to do the table. I have learned, after the fact, that there is a thing you can attach to the can so you don't have to use your finger. All you have to do is squeeze. Now why didn't they tell me that at the store!

As for the numb finger...still there today. It is no better.

Sorry you'r feeling out of sorts.

Did you overdo it the other day? I'm a stubborn one, so I have a lot of experience with this, LOL.

If I push too hard, my symptoms will temporarily flare. Can take a couple of days to recover, but then I'm back to my "new" normal. I coin the phrase "pay to play" to remind myself that sometimes pushing is not a good idea.

If it continues, then I'd call the neuro to make sure this is not a true flare up. Hope you feel better soon.

Of course I over did it...I don't know anything else That is the hardest thing for me to do, listen to my body and slow down when it is screaming at me to. And with school vaca this week, I can't slow down yet.

I like that phrase. I will try to remember it. I will call the neuro and mention this finger thing. I just didn't want to be a whiner.

Thanks!!!

I was just about to mention that G, it's a life saver for the poor finger. That happened to my finger from spray painting too, I think it's a combination of the use itself and the constant cold sensation from the compressed air. Mine actually began feeling like it was blistered before it let up.

It does sound like over exertion to me also, the other stuff probably got exacerbated with all the activity from the project. I hope you'll at least call it all in to your neuro and let him/her decide how to approach it. We all like to blame anything else when this stuff happens, but it is happening and you do wish to go on with life, yes?

YES!!!! I need to go on! My 11yr will not let me rest!

I will call the neuro and mention it. I just am not one to complain and feel like I am being a burden. I need to get over that and realize that she needs to know my sx and when I am having them.

Thanks for the little nudge!
