Default Alternative MS tx (in addition to traditional tx?)

Hi everyone,
Was wondering if anyone has tried any alternative treatments (i.e. accupuncture, supplements, herbs, diet, yoga...) in conjunction with traditional (in my case Avonex) treatment, and if you saw any results? Just curious.
Thanks!

Hi Rissa, I am also interested in your question. I have been looking at different diets and considering other treatments. In one year I have "failed" at betaseron, copaxone, and tysabri due to allergic reacions.

You should have some great resources in Austin. My sister lives in Austin and I love it there. I live in a small town in IL so I do not have access to alot of the alternative treatments such as accupuncture or reflexology. I would check to see if there is a ms center there and if they have any suggestions. Be careful about adding any herbal supplements, etc. without discussing it with your neuro.

I haven't tried alternative treatments (unless my beer and bar-b-q diet can be considered a treatment) but in 1992 I had several lengthy discussions with a chiropractor with regards to acupuncture. I recall reviewing several standard acupuncture "treatments" for MS and reading several testimonials.

We discussed this at length on a message board (Prodigy MS board - maybe 100 members - internet was in its infancy). A couple people had tried it - no positive results.
