Does anyone here have eye spasims. Well not actually the eyes, but under the eyes. The area of the eyes that seem to be baggy when your tired. It started in my left eye after my forst set of attacks. It hasnt got any better, now it has moved to my right eye as well. Very odd, if I try I can tell the doing it. Im afraid in a few years when I finish college, and try to get a job they will see that and think im on drugs.
Anyone else have this problem. Also the bilateral INO is still present. When i try to look out the corner of my eyes, there is intese pain. A bad for of eye strain I think. |

I get the eye spasms too. I get spasms in the strangest places like my forearm, thigh and tush. I have gotten used to them now. I don't even think of them anymore. I hope you get some relief with your INO. I don't have any experience with that, sorry.

I get those sometimes, too. I asked my Neuro about them once and he said they are just a result of the muscle being tired or stressed. I usually have them around the eye or mouth area. They come and go and never seem to last too long so I don't worry about them. Even though others cannot see it they feel like they are very obvious when they're happening!

Apparently a lot of people get this, even without MS, but it is more common in MS. That's what my specialist told me when I asked about them anyway.
For me, so far all my spasms (where-ever they appear), are temporary. They usually last for 3 - 4 weeks, and they might occur with nothing else 'apparently' going on with the disease. I actually thought the twitch was in my eyeball, but you are right that it is the lid or other area around the eye. What I have learned to do when those come on, is to just press against it with my finger. That usually stops it for a little while. Now if someone can tell me an alternative for dealing with the "tush" ones (that wouldn't attract too much attention publically) . . . that would be good. ![]() ![]() Cherie
