Default Yoohoo, limbo people! It's wednesday!

So, aside from all the rain, how are you?

I'm doing prety good. Only a little headache with the storms. A little vertigo this morning, nothing too major and it'll probably pass.

Today is Wednesday??? I swear all the days just blend in together! I wish we had rain here..it's been awhile and my plants need it. I am still waiting for my !*@&#^ Neuro. to call me back about the low blood pressure/high pulse/ dizziness/ and headaches but I guess he has better things to do..

I still don't know why my symptoms really mess with me in the morning.. like the blurred vision, right when I wake up for about a min or less then its cleared. Maybe I am just losing it mentally!

Do you have anything planned for the wk end? I might take one of my sons to a movie while the two younger ones go with their dad to another movie.

Mo, the best way to get it to rain is to water your plants! LOL...

My BP is low, but not too low like yours and it doesn't drop when I stand up. I run about 100/70. The women in my family are like that - and I smoke. My docs all tell me to stop, and I tell em I'm trying to keep my BP up.

I would guess if you do have ms, your sx could be worse in the AM because you wake up warm and heat exacerbates sx. My sx - blurred vision, vertigo - get worse in the summer when it's 90+. I'll be feeling that tomorrow if it gets as warm as they say it's going to. My plan is to clean up the pool, grab a book and a cool drink and lay around on a float ALLLLL day. Ahhhhhhh.....

Have fun at the movies!

Good morning folks~! I am functioning on the "fake it till you make it" mode. A good way to keep going eh?

Will meet with my clinical supervisor today, as she has now observed me 2 times. I will not fight her, just be as resigned and polite as I can. Whatever she says I will listen and learn. I HAVE learned from her tho disagree as well.

Yesterday I shadowed the Hospice clinical meeting for a job I have applied for. Tomorrow I will be shadowing one of the social workers on a call in a nursing home. This is part of the interviewing process.

I really like the spirtual aspect of this position, and the energy from these nurses/social workers is good. I do not have clinical experience in hospice work, but have with my father who passed in a beautiful hospice. AND I bring to them my own spiritual strengths and social worker skills.

WE'll see.

Have you read my post on my last MS neuro visit? HE said to me, that I do not have MS. Although I have new symptoms that persist, the basics of my neuro exams are good. Even tho I cannot do the heel to toe, or walk on my toes (my ankles now lock up due to spastiicity getting worse). Vision gets blurry for no apparent reason in spite of new glasses. Then it clears up..then it gets blurry. Hmmm...

Asked about the newest lesion on the PONS since 2005, which no one mentioned or seemed concerned about it. I have "good neuro exams" tho I have many lesions. He knew about the lesion on the PONS as he made me believe he reviews my chart before coming into the exam room.

So I guess its not a concern?

Yet I DO have autonomic episodes that present as strokes or "altered consciousness" as the ER writes. That both my neuros take very seriously. My last Rhuemie said he thinks my severe dry eyes/mouth are part of an autonomic dysfunction. But does not need to see me for anything he treats. He also ruled out fibromyalgia. Both rheumies did...hmmm..

So... I continue with my goal of eliminating as many docs/meds as I can. See my nutritionist and be grateful that I do not have any serious disorders.

i remain here, tho a permanent fixture now, as a support to you all~!

I GET IT !!! LOL

Warmly, Jan

Jan,

What kind of position are you applying for? Hospice nurse or social worker? I just had my school internship last semester in Hospice as a social worker, it was a great experience This upcoming year I will be doing social work in a hospital, I think, unless I don't have the mobility to go all around the hospital.
My symptoms are MS symptoms but weird. Like the vision blurriness I went to the Neuro. for..thought it was ON but since it only happens in the morning and lasts less than a minute and clears up, it doesn't quite seem like ON. I will probably call my dr. and schedule an appt and see if I can have a sleep study done. I have no clue whats going on with me Good luck with the job interview!

*LOL* I'm not going out in the GA sun to water my ex husband's plants. I put them outside his house but they do look beautiful, I do say so myself I know it's going to rain soon *lol* or.. he'll have to water them. My mom has been smoking since she was 9...she just turned 60 , 3 days ago. She never used the higher BP thing..thats a good one

Aww.. you sound like you're gonna have a nice wk end. I have to decide if I want to play poker online or take a nap. I played for like 3 hours yesterday in a tournament & finished 100 out of 2700 ..grr.

Wow...what is going on with this extreme weather? Hope everyone is safe, esp in the DC area...

What a week we had. My third son got married on Sunday (yay!).

It was a very stressful week. We had to finish the yard work, because we invited our side back to our house after the wedding luncheon. I was obsessing about things like cleaning the rugs, lemon oiling the woodwork, etc. My neighbor told me to ease up, and not to get all OCD about all that...he was right. None of it got done, and no one noticed.

Our second son and his wife came in, and the kids all had a blast hanging out together again. We have 4 kids, 3 boys 32, 30 and the groom, 28, and a daughter, 23.

The weather for the wedding was perfect, and the bride and groom looked beautiful. They had a luncheon afterwards, and then we partied at our house. It took me 2 days of rest before I could feel good enough to function again.

I've been having a lot of bouts of spasms in various parts of my body the last 2 weeks...kind of like the MS hug you all describe...a crushing tightness in areas of my torso, and my legs have been spasming during the night. And my right hand and forearm continue to get the tingles. My right foot drag seems to be more constant now, too. If I concentrate, I can pick it up when I walk, but I feel as if I'm climbing a stair.

I've been trying to go through the insurance company to get an appointment with a neuropsychologist for neuropsych testing, but they only take sleep apnea patients. So now I'm stuck...don't want to pay out of network costs, but can't find an in network doc to do it.

Well, I hope everyone is enjoying the end of winter. I already hate the heat and humidity.

Have a great week all!
