Great job with the glass!

I find that when my blood is out of line, I get those on the upper parts of my arms, or my chest.

once I feel better they go away.

My mother gets um when her blood pressure is high.

The petechea themelves are not a huge problem, but it should be a clue that you need to be checked out.

Thanks all! It turns out it is "just" petechea and two areas of purpurea (bigger versions, looks like a deformed bruise). He said I am seeing them as a result of an inflammatory process and he guesses it is due to the flare that hit. He said some will fade as they get absorbed but some may get to hang around for quite. Offered steroids, but I don't fel too bad right now so I turned them down. I can always have him call them into the pharmacy if I want them.

All in all, I went to the party this weekend. Wouldn't you know it folks mainly comented on my braces (royal blue AFOs) and on my "zit". The zit was actually a petechea spot on my face. I guess since I just hit 40 most folks felt the need to coment/joke about me needing to grow up

Much thanks again all!

Hi jprinz:

Glad you went to the doctors and he at least offered meds.

My last bout of petechiae in March led to excessive fatigue, a discoid rash and increased spasticity which led to a dermatology referral which I have in August. Of course the rash is fading but I have great pictures to show him. Now if I could stop the Rip Van Winkle impression and ditch the cane I would be a happy camper.

Limboland sucks. Oh - congrats on the 'zit'. Sounds like a compliment.
