First let me say that I have been dx with "Probable MS" back in '05. No real concrete evidence at that time. I have also been dx with Fibro/ME/CFS as well as other medical problems. (I have detested the fact that I have Fibro, it just doesn't say so in my gut). Bygones...
So yesterday afternoon, I awoke from a nap to hear a crackle and then loud pop in my head. Instantly my head and face became tingly and I had an instant frontal headache. Then within a few minutes I started sweating profusely. I asked my son to get me the thermometer, so I can take my temp. My normal body temp is 96.4 - 97.1. But at the time of this all happening my temp. was 99.6. I believe sweating is supposed to cool the body. So I can't figure out why my temperature was higher than usual especially while sweating. I waited an hour, stayed soaking wet with sweat, then took my temp. Again 99.5. So I went to get in a luke warm bath, which felt very warm (much more than luke warm) to me. (I am waiting on the doc on call at this time). Doc calls, I explain and he feels it isn't emergent to go to the ER. But he does suggest getting a new MRI (last one Aug. '06) and full work up for MS again. What is your take on this event? Please all information and thoughts is appreciated. Since this episode, I have been completely exhausted. Fatigued. I am counting on everyone's experience not as a medical dx, but as a friend helping a friend understanding what could have possibly going on. Thank you... Missy ![]()
