WOW, first, let me say I hope you feel better quickly.
This could be an ear infection. The pressure that builds behind the thin membrane known as the ear drum can build up and when the pressure shifts, it will release an air bubble. Like hearing your knees pop when you rise from a chair. it can be quite loud. It would also explain your temp, and fatique. Water can become trapped in the ear from baths or showers, and build up pressure over days. If its trapped between the layers of the inner ear, it can get infected. Do you have walk in clinics in your area? Can someone at least take a peek at you? Even if it turns out to be nothing, just having someone look at you can help releive truck loads of anxiety. feel better quick.

I will be seeing the doctor on Monday morning. I had been on an antibiotic for chronic sinus infection. My doc was very concerned that I had been releasing blood from my nose while blowing it. He didn't feel that should happen. However, that has happened to me ever since I was a child if the sinus infection was severe enough.
My antibiotic was finished Sunday, but on Tuesday I started a nasal steroid...Nasonex. He said there was still swelling in the sinus area. Since then, the blood has left and I just have the usual mucous in the nose. Do you think this would hurt or help my crackle, pop situation? Missy

I am sorry for all you are going through.
My "gut" says this may not be related to MS. Perhaps... a build up of fluid--sinus--ear that dislodged, shifted and is probably infected. I had a pain, about the size of a quarter. outside of my ear last year for 10 months!!! NO ONE could SEE anything wrong with my ear. Finally I asked to see an ENT and he found with his special scope a little pocket of infected fluid that he simply sucked out (never hurt) and placed a antibiotic powder and whaaalaaa.. all gone!!! AND now I have the same problem only its worse now with my ear canal is infected and nearly closed. THe ENT simply put a ear stint in while I used the drops and prednisone to bring the swelling down. Maybe you can ask to see an ENT ...they have more info, instruments and training. Remember.. a chronic infection runs through your system and wears one down. Just an idea... Keep me posted. Hope you feel better soon. Jan |

sinus can back up into the eustahion tubes, and laying stagnant can infect.
The steroid sinus spray will decrease the sinus pressure, but you would be better off using a Neti pot. or a sinus rinse system. Easy to buy at any local drug store. They come with a saline package that you mix with warm water to flush all the bacteria and stale stuff out of your sinus. NO drugs. it promotes healthy drainage, and doesnt have the back lash that other drug products have. I do believe you need to be seen to be sure that A. your sinus infection has cleared, and B. That it hasnt caused your ear tubes to back up with infected material. Feel better ! ![]()

I'm thinking it's your sinuses as well, as I recall that noise from a previous life.
![]() I used to get a lot of sinus infections (no ear problems), before I had dozens of polyps removed from my sinus passages. I vaguely remember that snap, crackle, pop, and I would also quite often get numb teeth and gums. Fatiguqe, headache and dizziness was what usually lead me to the doctor to be checked out. MS does not "cause" an increase in body temp, although our symptoms might act up when we have an infection of some sort. It doesn't sound like you have any "MS-type" symptoms from this infection, YET. Cherie
