Default Need some encouragement

Well I finished my IV treatments on Saturday and was feeling really good till yesterday. I started my oral predisone and it makes me feel very tired, moody, emotional, cranky, hyper, out of breathe. Just going to the store today I almost wanted to have an anxiety attack seeing all this people around me that I did not even know and should not let me bother me but they did. Walking with one working eye is no fun. I have a prizim on my left lense to help me see one object but it's trying to split again. Without the glasses I see two of everything. Besides feeling loss of balance I'm just feeling really crappy right now.

I would like to feel me again!! Having the kids home for the summer and having no energy I feel so bad for them. My husband is working overtime just so we can make ends meet since I stopped working and we are short one income.
This just sucks!!

it does suck
then again i can recall begging for the carp too
i would call my neuro for something to cut the edge off the steriods myself and drink as much water as you can stand.

as for the guilt trip your putting yourself on i personally know for a fact that you HAVE to take care of yourself first before you can give to others. this too shall pass. besides it is too hot out for anybody right now and kids never cease to amaze me at how much they can entertain themselves. give yourself some time and allow yourself to heal. you deserve that i am sure

Hi Patch~ Sorry your'e feeling yucky again. Right now, you just have to get to feeling better and not worry about feeling guilty. You can't help the way you feel. Try and rest and let the oral roids help and just remember that you didn't ask for MS. It found you.

Take care of yourself and keep us posted on how your'e doing.

Hi Patch, I agree it does suck! I just gone done myself - Had 3 days of the IV and 12 days of orals. I am sorry but I honestly know how you are feeling. I want to be myself again but I have learned mostly from from great people here on the boards that you can't beat yourself up.

Take Care of you! When I start to panic or fly off the handle I think of another board member who once told me she was on Steroids and even the tooth paste cover and her didn't get along!

Hang in there and know you are not alone!

I am sorry to hear you are not feeling so well or seeing so well.

One thing that your should consider is that you children may be using their imaginations more and getting very creative if you do not have much energy to move around. Hopefully they will put their creativity to good use.

Life is full of ups and downs and these are things children need to learn because it will help tem cope with their own ups and downs in life. So don't feel too guilty.

Hope you wil feel better soon.

hi patch,

i'm sorry that you're feeling so icky. hopefully when you're done with the roids you should be feeling lots better. i hope they also make your sx's better.

you've got a lot on your plate now so try to set priorities and also set aside some rest time for you.

i'm thinking of you.

Patch,
Sorry to hear you're not up to snuff...
Steroids are like two sides of a coin...the good side takes the sxs down, but the bad side makes you feel like c$#p for a while.

Take it one day at a time. If your kids are young enough, have your DH go to a craft store and buy some popsicle sticks, glue, glitter and feathers and have them make stick puppets and put on a puppet show. It will keep them busy all day.
If they're older, let them do the chores around the house. Give them lots of hugs and appreciation for helping you out when you don't feel so well.

Good luck, and let us know how you're doing...
