I submitted it to my insurance. They did not cover it I e-mailed them, pointing out how much less they would be paying for LDN over Avonex. I guess it doesn't matter to them.

i am not sure how much it covered... the compounding pharmacy i went to said it covered it... but for 60 1.5mg caps. it was $20. maybe that isn't that much of a savings i really don't know the actual cost of the med.

I'm on Medicare and I didn't add that druggy thingy. I'm only on two drugs and they are not that costly...75.00 per mon for both....the insurance would cost me that much, I think.

I'm tempted to try 4.5 mg. but I still have this dizziness/vertigo going on. I'm not sure if it's a remnant of my sinus troubles or possibly just an MS symptom deciding to make an appearance.

My MS - as a rule - shows itself every year around this time (October). So....I tend to watch for things like dizziness, numbness, etc. to appear around this time of year. I'm fine as long as I'm sitting still but any sudden movement or trying to look out the window in a moving car.....no, no, no.....not a good idea!

I hesitate to bump up my dose because how will I know if I'm truly not tolerating it or if it's just my sx flaring up right now.

Is it that you are dizzy, or is it vertigo, Kelly? i.e. is your head spinning, or everything else moving? If it is your head, that's probably still the sinus infection (NOTE: they can be very, very stubborn, and may require more then one treatment of antibiotics). If everything else is spinning, it's probably the MS actiing up.

Either way, I wouldn't up the dosage at this point. You are covered by a min of 3.0mg, so why not just wait till things settle down before you make any more changes. JMHO.

Cherie

Frank, are you still at 1.5mg, or did you go back up yet?

happy Monday Y'all

I am still at 1.5 so far so good sort of, waking up with energy not wanting to go back to sleep getting things done during the day insomnia sucketh, but it sucketh b4 LDN

only draw back is the spascisity(sp?) it hurts still and tremors, have been nagging me, curious about something..why is the sky blue lol,

seriously the spasc and tremors are permanent issues so taking meds for these thing would be just a bandaid and wont heal it. ok now the issue i have is not taking those extra meds for the tremors or spasc, can these issues worsen? or can they only worsen if the lesion gets active or a new one shows up?, been debating I dont want to put anything extra in me then I have to, the neck spasm are ok still I get them towards the end of a long day or if I am over tired and even on the klonopin I had spasm late at night or when over tired, so this I think I am ok, but my tremors and spasc, these are starting to annoy me

I sent a link to this thread to someone I saw had posted questions about LDN her name was cathyd or cathys, sorry I dont remember, just wanted to let all know in case she shows up we all can help her out too. this is my second fav thread here, the other being" as the world turns, and sands fall through the days of our life, thread (daily insights)

I hope you all have a splendid week, and thank you for caring and sharing

It's feeling like I've had too much to drink. I stagger when I walk. More lightheaded than anything else. Things aren't spinning but when I lay down and close my eyes it feels like I'm moving. Sort of like being on a waterbed...only I'm not.

Yesterday...rising in the car was an adventure! I sat in the back but couldn't look out the window because it made me so dizzy.

Sitting here at the computer I'm fine. It's just moving around that throws me off.

Default Just checking in

I started my 3.5mg LDN dose a week ago, up from 3mg. I have noticed no difference in the two doses. When I first started with 3mg I had mild night sweats, but not so much any more. I continue to feel unusually well. I am quite amazed.

marion it was pretty eerie Kitty Twink and me all started at same time and all of us were unsure if it was ldn or lack of other meds but we all noticed a slight change at first, I myself am ok with the LDN my worry is can I do more damage concerning the tremors or spascisity, by not taking anything for it
