They used to say that to me too. I finally landed a good female gyne who looked me in the eye and said "NO ONE should ever have to go throgh what you've been going through for over ten years." I actually sat there with my mouth wide open. She gave me two choices, try the hormone where you inject six little tube things into your arm (remember that one?) or surgery. I opted for surgery since every BC or hormone I took caused my migraines to worsen. No way was I going to inject something I couldn't stop right away. Plus, the idea of no period was amazing!

Now I am going through menopause but it's pretty easy since I already went through a partial menopause when I had the surgery.

Hrm, after having the cradle out, do you have to take hormone pills or anything? or are you good to go with your ovaries still in tact?

Edit: I suffer atrocious migraines/headache as well, esp. around Auntie's visit every month. Not to mention the excessive bleeding is what lead me to surgery and they found severe endometriosis as a result.

Would that be grounds (with the recent findings of cells) to warrant a medical reason for removal?

I hear you about the BC and migraines. Depo Provera was the absolute worst one. That's when I experienced those Trigeminal Neuralgia type pains in my head with headache. I went off that promptly, and that's when I decided abstinence is best.

Good to go so far except menopause is taking over. I tried the hormone stuff when I started getting facial hair but they gave me headaches once again. Not as bad but I also smoke so I decided against them. So, my doc gave me zanax for hyper days and Nair has great facial hair remover! lol

Gazelle, my docs pulled all that too. One even said "You have a husband who is sick and you may want more children later when he dies." I looked at him and said "Excuse me? My husband is not going to die anytime soon and I don't want any more children!" I reported him and he got in some trouble. Not enough to be fired, which I didn't expect but he can't talk like that to people.

It's been a lot more than 10 years that I've bled like that and I'm sick of it. But at this point I'll just live with it until nature takes its course. I'm 45, so hopefully that'll be soon. I have no one to measure against--my paternal grandmother died when I was 1 1/2, my maternal grandmother had a hysterectomy when she was in her early 30s, my mom had a hysterectomy in her early 30s, both parents are only children, and I don't have any sisters! So you could say I'm an orphan menopauser!:D:confused::rolleyes:

It didn't make me happy either when I was told that. But it wasn't worth the fight at the time.

Not to steer the convo off, but I don't think I mentioned that my Clonazepam prescription came to 1 cent. So the pharmacy didn't even charge me the penny! LOL. First free prescription I've seen outside of a hospital! :)

I had a LEEP after colposcopy. No big deal at all. Didn't hurt at all! You'll do great.

That's what I'm hoping.

When my doctor mentioned 'a lot of cell changes' and 'this is serious, they should have called you', it did make me worry. Like, that feeling you get before you faint? Yeah, that went through my body. :\

Thank goodness I have this new drug for anxiety though, even if I'm taking a low dose. Right now I'd be a wreck with the pain from burning mouth without it I think. And I picked up some Biotene mouth drops as well because my mouth has been dry as a desert the past 2 days (probably result of the AC drying the place out and I'm a mouth breather on top of it).

Apparently my insurance through work covered that much of the cost for that medication. I was shocked myself. I only pay $2 for Amitriptyline, but this even beats that!

No kidding! Whoohoo!
