I don't have a cervix. They took it with the uterus. So two cancers down, no uterine or cervical cancer to worry about. :D

Don't worry about hormones if they only take your uterus. You will still have cycles, just no menstrual...whoohooo!

Well, my BMS situation is much lesser today. I haven't taken any Clonazepam, but I took 1 .25mg amount right before bed last night, and had the BEST sleep I've had in a long time. Woke up feeling so refreshed, and I could tell I slept well, because my bedding was not strewn all over the room like it normally would be. Appears I slept in 1 spot all night with little movement.

My mom swears she never went through menopause.. maybe I should ask Dad to confirm this! :D He may have a different story to tell LOL!

I don't have any experience with HPV but have friends who have had the laser treatment and they all said "no biggie"

I DO, however, relate to the LONG (8-10 days) HEAVY monthly stuff, and have since I was 9 years old! (This is ONE thing I never liked being ahead of all the other girls on!)

At 49, with no children, and no plans on having any, I was ready ten years ago or more, to have it all out. :mad:

I am sitting here now with my Depends on (yes it's THAT bad!) after waking up with cramps for the THIRD day in a row. I just got back in the house after going outside and doing my monthly scream at the top of my lungs...

Sorry to hear you have such bad cramps Riverwild. The bad cramps plus pain during sex is what actually resulted in me having the laposcopy, and them finding endometriosis.

It used to be very bad. I'd faint in school from cramps. I missed a lot of time in high school due to this.

With ya, girlie. With ya. Mine would sometimes last 14 days or so. My H used to say that I had about 2 good days out of the month.

But Depends? YIKES!!! THAT is bad. That's really bad. Wowzer!

My mantra is, "I'll pluck anything you want, just bring on menopause!"

I had laser surgery for vaginal carcinoma in situ (cancer which hasn't spread yet) last year. I had a hysterectomy in 2002 and my cervix was removed. My doctor at that time told me that I didn't need any more Pap tests, so for three years, I went without one. My new family doctor recommended having one, so I went ahead and that was when the dysplasia and cancer was found. I'm now a huge proponent of Pap tests after hysterectomy.

The laser surgery was a breeze though. I had no pain, no discharge, nothing. In fact, I almost couldn't tell I'd had surgery. (I was put to sleep for the procedure.)

I'm have graduated from Paps every three months to every six months now because they've all been normal so far. And I hope they stay that way!
