Shame that Clonazepam can be habit forming. Because I can tell you, 2 hours later, it has helped the burning mouth for sure. She doesn't want me to take it beyond taking it on days where I feel the mouth pain is bad. Some days I do actually have relief from it.

My doctor asked how I got so knowledgeable about different medications, so I name dropped NeuroTalk. And mentioned I post on a burning mouth forum as well with many in situations like mine, no known cause, just burning awful mouth pain.

She said, "Isn't the Internet wonderful?". Got that right doc!

Hope so Beary! You can understand my worry and panic hearing her mussing over the computer screen saying, "I can't believe they didn't call you, this is serious". Of course, me half freaking asked "Does this mean cancer?!", to which she changed her tone and smiled and assured me that no it's not cancer.

I figure I survived the colposcopy, this can't be much worse.

Yes, I definitely get it! I'm sure it was scary for a minute!

I always call about test results and don't just assume everything's okay if I don't hear. This dates back to my thyroid issue -- I should have been dxed over a year before I was. The doctor forgot to call me with the results of the one abnormal test that had staggered in behind the other normal ones. I now no longer assume that everything's okay if I don't hear and also request that copies of any blood test results be sent directly to me.

So now I'm confuddled about HPV.

It says that in most women it goes away in a few years. Well, it's been 4 years at least since I was sexually active. Perhaps since I didn't have a GP for so long and I wasn't getting regular paps done, this is the reason why they're finding this now?

Does it remain until the procedure is completed to remove the affected areas? Or would those areas perhaps disappear on their own? Or are some strains of this a lifelong event?

I had laser treatment for early cervical cancer that was discovered 6 months after the MS, and while pregnant. Of course they couldn't treat me till the baby was born, and if I recall correctly I had two treatments. (I might be wrong about that, but I think I did . . . ) I know was monitored on several occasions after that, over the next two years.

The anticipation of this procedure was scary . . . but was really no big deal at all!! I don't even remember being uncomfortable during or after.

Having my second baby was tricky though, with scare tissue on the cervix.

Ugh, you know, I had the talk with my mom about just removing the uterus. Like, let's be done with it and call it a day. I don't want children. I've had too much agony with women parts. Out of the nursery with the cradle right?

My only concern is obviously that of, would I then have hormone troubles.

I think I'll give round 1 of this a shot, and if it persists as a problem THEN I will inquire about possible removal.

Cherie, weird how that works huh? Here we are September, almost exact to 6 months following my MS dx, and I'm told I have this.

Well I guess it is time for an HPV club LMAO. Yes, I have it too. Mine 1st showed in 2001 while pg with my only child. I was covered in the mess and nothing could be done. My major worry was infecting the baby. She ending up in the birth cannal too long and a c-section. To date, I see no sig of infection --eyes, voice.... I still pray she did not get it.

I have no idea what Bastard gave it to me. I was married - not cheating - for over 5 yrs till it showed up.

Hpv showes up when you are under stress, illness... (mind or body). I was told I could have been infected 10 yrs before. Alll of mine went away within 2 mos of child birth. I did not have to have lazor.

Today I have a few for the 1st time in 7 yrs. It is due to stress over MS. If it starts to ger bad then I'll have lazor but for now I think I'll try to just let it go away on its own.

I've never told this anywhere - yes I feel ashamed - but I did nothing wrong and I am told the person who gave it to me prob. did not know he had it. So, I guess that helps a bit. My girl is fine and that is all that matters. I thank God for a terrible 17hrs of labor so she could have her c-section.

Now, you see it is not all that bad.

sheena, does your's disappear completely and then reappear as you said, under stress?

I'm sure stress could have very well set mine off. That's for sure. I was so stressed during limbo period I was going nuts. No doubt that added to it.
