Came back showing a lot of cell changes apparently, confirmed that I have HPV (wasn't really a surprise, reading how many people have this) and that I will have to go have laser surgery to remove the affected cells.
Anyone out there gone this extra step (laser) after having a colposcopy? I can't believe the clinic never called me back as they said they would. They just simply got the results. My family doctor looked them up and told me the news. She did confirm they did biopsy and that this doesn't mean cancer. So that's a relief at least. I've been sexually 'inactive' for 4 years or more now.... and I always practiced safe sex. Go figure. But I guess HPV can actually still get around such precautions regardless.
