No one was around to help the time I went splat. I managed to time it between small rushes in and out of the store. Can we say that guy Murphey is a real good friend of mine?

My neuro usually asks if I have fallen. So sorry for you the answer would be yes. I fell off a chair yesterday while looking up on the top shelf of the pantry. Just lost my balance. I didn't break anything just like you, bruised a little and it hurt like crazy.

But it's good you can have a sense of humor about it. I guess we might as well, right?!

I too once went splat in front of a grocery store. There was one lady and her mother there and all they could do was look at me like I must be drunk.

I abraded my elbow on the concrete and was bleeding. No offer of assistance from these women.

Luckily, I knew most of the cashiers in the store and after I got myself up and into the store, a nice cashier went to the pharmacy department and got a box of first aid supplies and bandaged me up.

Oh Blast! Don't ya just hate that?

I feel for you Fin, as I've done the splat thing far too many times myself.

Unfortunately for me, each time I end up on the floor I seem to break bones some-where!

The last time .... I broke all the ribs on my left side from my armpit down, and I couldn't even breathe let alone get up off the floor.

The time before I needed a spinal injury stretcher for the medical staff to get me off the floor. That time I fractured the base of my spine, and also had concussion from a head injury!

I've done the same thing. It was during the summer and I was wearing sandals and the toe of my shoe got caught on a piece of metal in the doorway. It just took a second and I was flat on my face. Amazingly, most people just kept on walking! Only one nice man stopped and helped me up and even picked up my purse and bags. I wasn't hurt too badly....just banged up my knee and bruised my ego a bit. I always wonder if it was really the door frame catching my shoe or if I just wasn't picking my feet up completely.

I hope you're feeling better....I know I hurt more the day after than I did the day it happened.
