Agreed, always call in at the very least. That way, they know what is happening and will decide what treatment or guidance to give you. This disease has a mind of its own and letting an exacerbation have its way with you can lead to extremely long periods of down time.

In my case, I will always go for the steroids because I've had patches of many months for one exacerbation. I don't have time for that junk!

I agree with AMN. You don't want to mess with a long exacerbation, if you can shorten it with IV roids.

I am glad you are going to call. At least you will have the information. Whether you chose to use it is up to you, but at least you have the skinny.
