Unhappy I've missed you all!

Hey guys! I have missed all of you so much and hope you are doing well..............

I have been in a DEEP, DEEP depression for a long time now and just haven''t had the energy to type, nor did I want to be a downer for anyone else, but this just keeps getting worse and worse....

I was FINALLY dx'ed with Cushings a month or so ago, my back has broken several times - heck mot of my bones have broken recently - and now need either a walker or eletric scooter to get around. Add to that my port was clogged so my doc had to go thru my groin to get a 2 cm. sheath off of it 2 days ago and you get the picture.

Don't get me wrong. I KNOW I will get better very soon. It just seems like I get so far and then fall back quite a bit, but I KNOW that it will be better soon and I am still very blessed and lucky to have the support I do - especially you guys who KNOW what I'm going through!

How have you all been?

Love,
Erin.

I don't know you, but I am wishing you well! Sounds like you have a lot going on right now - May you see success on your medical journey, a little bit more everyday!

Erin, I'm so sorry you are going through so much. I hope they can get you off of the Pred (are you still on it?).

Depression is a tough thing to deal with. I hope you are seeing someone to talk about it. I think depression can be harder to cope with than diseases sometimes.

That groin scoping does not sound very fun or comfortable.

I hope you will continue to do better. Not that you can compare situations but I think you have far more going on than I do, so I won't even bother you with how I'm doing. Hanging in there, that's about it.

You take care of yourself. We're here to support YOU too, you know. You don't have to be so strong all the time for the rest of the world.

Annie

Hey Erin!!

Great to hear from you!!! It is understandable that you would experience depression after all that you have gone through over that last year. And even still - you are more upbeat and positive than many.

I hope your visit with Lilly was wonderful. I'll bet she has grown a lot you last saw her last September!

It was so good of you to post - we look forward to your updates. Hang in there!!

Sue

Smile Erin

I wish you the best Erin. I feel bad to hear that you have been depressed. Depression is understandable with MG and all that you have gone through. Don't feel bad to be a downer, we are all here to support each other, even in the bad times.

Take care of yourself.

Default Hi Erin

Sorry I haven't posted until now Hubs and I are just getting over the flu. We just have very chesty coughs now. You know the kind of cough where you feel you can' breath!

I was so sorry to learn of everything that you have gone through and I am hoping that you will turn the corner soon and feel more like your old self. Depression is a horrible illness that robs you of happiness and hope. Ive been there and I try very hard not to let myself go there again.

The first step with depression is recognising yourself that this is the issue. Sometimes it can take you until you start pulling out of it to realise that the reason you feel so utterly wretched is the depression.

Your a very strong person Erin and I have missed your posts on here. But understand completely when you say you couldn't be bothered to contact people or get onto the computer. Thats how I was over the summer. It was only a month or so ago that I realised I had been going through a bit of a rough patch. Understandable when you think about all the things people with chronic pain and or illness have to face. Let alone negative and uninformed medical staff adding to it.

I hope that you start turning the corner soon. Its very important to try and do something you like and enjoy everyday, no matter how limited you are physically. For me its watching comedy or chatting to friends, or hearing how my one year old nephew managed to escape out of the house by using the cat flap! LOL I'm still laughing about that one.

Love
Rach
