James, I think the things you have done are great advice. They may only help a few of us into remission, but I do believe these things help to reduce MG symptoms. There is hope. When MG symptoms are severe I think medicine is required. As for me I am going to continue improving my diet.

I wish I could go gluten free but can not afford it. In my city any gluten free products are expensive. Also since I am at the point where cooking isnt much of an option given how poorly my hands and arms work (and on my feet more for doing it) preparing my own stuff isnt happening. I am sure I would benenfit I just cant see how to do it.
About the individual issues yes that is important to bear in mind. It sounds like my homemaker read your list as she mentioned my high salt intake. But I have POTS and until my internist told me to increase my salt I was weaker and would get this events that were pretty scary. This was discovered by accident when my daughter mentioned how I rally when I get IV fluids. Annie59 |

Buying gluten free anywhere is expensive. The only that I missed was pasta so I buy gluten free but for the bread I tried some and well I don't eat bread anymore. Just check each label when you shop you will find that there is always a product that doesn't have gluten. I have always had a weight problem and going gluten free is letting the pounds fall away. Changing your diet and eating properly will go a long ways. But that also means no Junk food at all. Dessertflower As for this only helping a few you might be surprised what it will do for you. But my symptoms were just as bad as anyone else’s and it is working for me. So if you don't try you are only left will the misery and disappear. What has anyone got too lose? Even if you have had you thymus taken out it would take longer but I would still try. I had the University of Maryland call me to talk to me about as they are going to do a study to see if this will work and put some science behind it. James |
