Hello and welcome to Neurotalk! There are so many incredible people here with so many amazing stories! You will Not be disappointed!
I have also had the lung capacity test and my results were down to 1 (out of a possible 4) when I was in the hospital......chances are you are just really, really weak and need some meds....... Last test was a 4 (don't know how they factor all of it) - so it does get better. If you DO find yourself short of breath or unable to breathe, you may be having a crisis and need medical help immediately! As I've said b/4 to others, set up some sort of system to let them know that you are having problems (speed dial a friend or spouse and push a button to let them know you need help STAT) and to send for an ambulance....... As for me, since I've been on my meds, there have been no breathing problems - only painc attacks......I was also told by my neuro that they do not come on suddenly - you have to build up to them.......so if you are feeling weak, really weak, you need to monitor the situation very closely and go in when you feel bad - breathing is nothing to fool around with....... Hang in there, hon.....it does get better! Erin Quote:
