Lots and Lots of luck tomorrow Erin. That is a lot in one day - I'm sure glad your son will be with you.

The lotions/oils would interfere with the conduction of the electricity on the EMG and if they use the sticky electrodes, they won't stick!

Have you tried to ice your back at all? 20 minutes on, 20 minutes off. I don't know how much it will help with it being messed up this long, but it may at least freeze the muscles so they will stop signaling the nerve to tighten the muscles. This is the cycle that goes on when you have an injury like that. Some people do better with heat. I prefer to start with ice for the first day, then alternate ice and heat a few times each day.

I'm sorry you're hurting - I know that pain intimately from all my neck problems!
