Hi xmas,

Did you take it without food or less food than you usually do? It's finally sunny here today too! Thanks, and you have a great weekend also! Take care.

Hugs,
Pat

Thumbs up Hi xmas!

Hey there! I know you've prolly already mentioned this, but are you on prednisone? I was really jittery as well when I saw my neuro and he blamed it on the pred not the mestinon......

How are you feeling today?

Big hugs!
Erin

Are you using the timespan during the day?? Because this is usually something that is used to get us through the night, I used it for a couple of years at night, and regular 60mg during the day.

Default Hi xmas

I take the 180mg timed released mestinon at night and 60mg regular about 4 times during the day. I have to eat a little something when I take the timed release at night or I have some side effects of minor twitching or stomach upset. I usually take it with a cup of warm tea and a few crackers or piece of bread. If I do that, I'm fine. I really like the timed-released for nights.

I have been told by multiple neuros that the release of the timespan isn't reliable enough for day use, and have been cautioned to take it only at night. The concern is that it may not give you enough sometimes, and too much at other times. Maybe you've gotten a feel for that if you are jittery once after not having been. They gave it to me because I was waking up with weakness, and because of my apnea issues. They've told me that it will at least offer some coverage during the night so I wasn't waking up needing to take a Mestinon during the night.

You're not the first one I've heard being given timespan during the day - I just question the wisdom, knowing what my docs and research have told me. Of course, I've dealt with the MG and Mestinon enough to know when I need a lighter dose or a higher dose, so they let me do my own thing with it now.

Hope you're doing better today!
