I had neuropathy in my feet (from diabetes) almost 2 years ago). I came on this forum, learned all about a specific form of B-12, which is Metholcobalimin and the rest is history. I take 5000 each and every morning, sub-lingually, on an empty stomach. Don't know where you can get it in Canada, but online is easy and it's not that expensive. I have used iherb.com and puritanspride.com (which gives the BEST value I have ever seen)

Give it a shot. You never know.

And I'm so proud of you (at age 25), to be doing what you are doing.

Best of Luck

Hi Melody!

THanks for the support and after reading the B12 Thread from Mrs D, I noticed you recommended Jarrow Methylb12. I will order the 1000mcg tomorrow and start that treatment.

MrsD: THanks for the great information. I definitely feel a little less anxiety with some reassuring words from you and will get a blood test for Thyroid and Vitamind D first thing tomorrow Morning. I will update everyone in the next couple days, (maybe 10 days or so If nothing is found).

Ciao!

Mite

Once again, I have to ask...have you been tested for celiac disease/gluten intolerance? Many people who can not eat gluten have neuro symptoms.

I did not see men often with carpal tunnel. Men are just not that subject to it.
It's very common for men and women alike to have carpal tunnel when gluten intolerant. Carpal tunnel was one of my biggest symptom, along with the stomach issues. Many gluten intolerants though, never have stomach issues, their worst symptoms are neuropathy. At your age, it is very rare to have carpal tunnel, there usually is something else behinds it. My youngest son, is 28, and just had carpal tunnel surgery 2 months ago, was tested for celiac this week, no results yet.

Hello,

I just came back from the docs and did my blood tests.. should have read this before going lol. So No I havent been tested for celiac and gluten intolerance.

As per Mrs D request, I just got tested for TSH, T3, T4, Magnesium, Calcium, Vitamin D, Also, Complete Blood Count, Glucose, And Many Liver tests ( 1 year ago I got Dx'd with Gilberts Disease) my Bilirubin and Albumin levels are always high and the only thing the dr.s could figure out is gilberts disease as the rest of my liver functions are normal.

My stress level is through the roof and my hands and feet are going crazy buzzing along with some muscle twitching .. I dont think its carpal tunnel but who knows at this point. Also, the surgery seems crazy to me I dont think I would go down that road although im sure it helps some people.

Its dissapointing because previously for 2 weeks i felt amazing after my soft tissue therapy.. but today it seems its all back for some unexplainable reason :/..

thanks for the responses I truly feel welcomed! .. Ill move this into another subforum when my results come back.

Believe me when I tell you that STRESS CAN KILL. It's a fact. If you are under a lot of stress, well, bells, whistles, and EVERYTHING that can GO OFF in your body, WILL go off!!!

Now what can one do when one is under stress?

Well, (and I know stress, believe me, I know stress), well, I try and do something that I know will relax me.

The other day my poor bladder was spasming (it always does this when I hear from my son, that's how bad our relationship is). So I knew I had to do SOMETHING or I would go nuts.

So I found a movie site on my computer that showed undersea creatures in their native habitat. You can probably find similar kinds of things to watch on your cable stations.

But for me, this was IT!!!

I sat there and watched all the lovely sea turtles, and all different kinds of fish that puff themselves up, and some fish look like their surroundings, and some fish look like different animals.

You have no idea how relaxing and calming viewing this type of film can be.

I sat there for about an hour, and I just zoned out. I forgot all my problems and I enmeshed myself in this beautifully photographed movie.

And I also told my husband "I'm going to buy the DVD of Avatar. I have seen this movie and the colors and cinematography is mind-blowing. I knew immediately, that this kind of film would just calm me.

You need to de-stress. It will save your life. I know you probably take away the stuff that is giving you stress, but just maybe you can teach your body how to react to it in a less damaging way. I do this all the time.

Doesn't matter how you do it. But do it.

Your body will be grateful.

Take care,

Melody

Hey Melody,

You are so right, the only thing that has changed in the past couple weeks is my stress level. I was on such a high and feeling great up until a few days ago , and stress is the only thing that increased before getting this relapse.

Its funny because whenever I go into a doc's office I come out with crazy symptoms. how ironic. lol. Summer is coming so I guess I will be spending alot of time fishing since I can truly relax then.

Unfortunately its just my nature I stress about everything, and considering this is exam season and im going into a new job im worried about .. just pile it on :P.

I really need to relax! .. does it come in vitamin or pill form?? :P

Nah, no pills, just do it mentally, and the body will follow:

Here's a great way to de-stress. The other night I was watching the Hallmark channell "When Love is Not Enough", the true story of how Al-anon was created.

The lady in this movie sat down at the piano and began playing the most beautiful song.

When the movie was over I went to the Internet Movie Database and people were asking about THAT SONG.

I found it on youtube.

Click on this link, sit back, listen to the beauty of the musical piece, close your eyes, and feel your whole body relax

Try it.

Let me know how it goes.

Melody
