Welcome yaya. I am sorry you are at high risk for heart disease, but trying to change the odds. I have always been told to take CoQ10 when taking a statin drug, and that our homocysteine level is even more important than cholesterol level (pharmaceutical companies just don't have a drug to lower that so many doctors fail to measure it.)

Cholesterol levels can be confusing. One doctor said my cholesterol was "high" and should be on a statin drug. Another said no - I should not be because my ratio of HDL (good) to LDL (bad) was excellent.

In the meantime, I am exercising more and eating better, so I can relate.
