Default Hoping this forum can help :)

Hi, I'm a new member to this forum. Umm, I'm new at this so I'm not sure what to say. I'm 19, and I have chronic migraines. I was being treated with Occipital Nerve blocks, but now that I'm 19 I have no insurance, and I can't get them anymore. I was diagnosed a year ago with the migraines after a lot of testing mainly for MS, which the doctors decided I didn't have.
Mainly, I've come to this forum to help others, mainly with experiences I've had, and to seek help, and advice for relief from my migraines, from experiences others may have. Thanks for taking the time to read my post !

Default Hello Girl!

Glad you found your way to NT! So sorry you are experiencing so much pain for being so young. I have had a lot of headaches my whole life so can at least sympothize with your agony. I had pain shots for occipital nerve pain for a couple of years following a car accident that left me with whiplash. I don't have the shots anymore but the pain is some better. Still have the headaches to some degree and also MS. Please stay around and share your experiences, as that is very helpful here. I know there will be more folks come along that will be able to help you out as well! Browse through our forums and make yourself at home!

Hi girl _inflames,
WELCOME! I'm glad you found our Neuro Talk Forum. It is a great place to seek help, and give help, and support to each other. We are a caring group.

It is so hard to lose your medical insurance. Will you be getting any medical ins in the future? I Hope so. There are medications for migraines too.

I had a three day migraine this week, probably due to this high temperature weather. I haven't had one in ages.

They are awful. (sigh) Nice to meet you and I hope you feel better.
