Peripheral Neuropathy is a degenerative state of the peripheral nerves in which the motor, sensory or vasomotor nerve fibers may be affected, causing muscle weakness, atrophy, pain & numbness.
Demyelination is the loss or destruction of myelin ~ the white material of lipid protein secreted by cells & make a sheath around the axons, increasing the nerve impluses. There are a number of things that could cause all of this. I'm sure your doctor will explain this to you after your test results come back. PLEASE keep us posted on what your doctor tells you. God bless & take care. Hugs, Lee ![]()
