Default I'm New Here - daughter having spinal fusion operation in 2 weeks :/

Good afternoon,

My 15 year old daughter is undergoing a spinal fusion operation in a little under two weeks. She was born prematurely and lives with cerebral palsy. About 5 years ago, she developed scoliosis and also lordosis. After 3 1/2 years of the idea of spinal fusion surgery being presented, she's decided to go ahead with this 12-15 hour operation.

As her parent, I need to support her, but am terrified inside at the idea of such an invasive operation and wonder if there are other parents out there who have had their children undergo such a procedure, and whether or not it was a success?

Thank you for listening,

Mary
