Smirk Greetings

Hi All, I'm Judith and I'm looking for support ....I have problems with my back and neck...My Neuro wants me to see a Neuro-Surgeon and I'm willing to talk but thats about it..I've seen and heard of so many surgeries going bad that I am very skeptical ...But of course then there is the pain..( C4-C5 and C5-C6
Right paracentral herniated disc w/neural foramen stenosis and nerve root impingement for both .Herniation of T-11-T12 with anterior thecal sac effacement &mild stenosis. Broad base disc buldge @ L4-L5 & S1) So... At this time I'm taking EC-naprosin q3 and Soma q3-4 (I try and take the Soma only at bedtime, but sometimes I have to cheat) Anyone have any thoughts? Thanks,Judith

It is nice to see you have decided to come join us. You will fine a great number here to help each other.

I am not knowledgable of back and neck pain, but there a lot of others to help you.

Hope to see you around.

((((((((((((((Judith))))))))))))).

First off, you should kiss your neuro for referring you to a nsg! I have lived as a nsg patient all my life, and I know that almost never happens. Most of them have enormous egos and won't admit to being out of their league, but they can only treat symptoms, so he would give you something for pain (and to dope you up, no doubt), and you'd probably get worse over time. Only a nsg can tell you whether you'll benefit from surgery or not, and what to expect from it. Please make the appt right away, and good luck!
