Hi Karenlea,
Welcome to the NeuroTalk Support Groups.

I'm very sorry you're in so much pain.

Just want to leave the links to a couple of the forums here.
You can just click on the underlined links below and go there directly.

Chronic Pain

Heart Hello Karenlea....

Welcome

I'm glad you found this forum. It is a place to come when no one seems to understand what chronic pain can do to a person over time. It's a place to feel included and to see that we are not alone in our struggles. It's a place to let out our frustrations and not be judged.
Please stick around. There's many facets to this place. There's a caring friend around every corner. There is strength in numbers and when one of us is down, there's another to pick us up, bring hope, or even just offer a hug.

Lara has pointed out some good places to start. Please look through the forums and post anywhere you'd like. There is good information as well....ways to strive for better pain management. I know exactly how you are feeling. I've been feeling this way too.
I'm glad you are here.

I care,
Rae

Oh goodness! I'm soooo sorry! I'm new to the "walker world" and just did my first post today. Not new to back pain but NOTHING like what you're going through. I have no advice, just support. I see you can type. That's what I say. "At least my fingers work". I hope you will read a lot of the things here. From what I've seen, this board seems very supportive.

I care!
Sandi

Hi Karenlea, and Welcome! I'm glad you found this forum and shared with us how you feel. No one should go thru constant pain and lack of mobility feeling like giving up alone. Just being able to share your thoughts and stresses helps.
You'll find so much comfort and support here. There are so many here dealing with pain, disability, and many other issues. It's a 'safe' place to come and share without judgment. I hope you find the comfort that I have found. loretta

A big hug for you.

I've been there, too.

You are not alone.

In the darkness of your suffering, there comes a ray of hope. I pray you find that now.

It won't always be this way. We're here for you, ok...

There is always hope. Don't give up. Hang in there.

We do care...

Hi karenlea,

I know and totally understand the pain can me mind numbing!!! I remember before I had acdf surgery on c4 the c7 in 2010---i even went to er and morphine wouldnt touch it. Is any surgery on the table? I know with stenosis is narrowing of the spine and gets worse when we age. Have you seen a neuro or orthopedic spinal surgeon? Im just wondering if your having symptoms of spinal compresssion if fusion may be on the table? Is the back or neck worse? There is a new machine i think its called the DRX 9000 a few friends of mine did it for back and have been suffering over 10 yrs barley can walk I think after 15 or 20 treaments they have been painfree-- one for 3 yrs now. The only problem is I dont think its covered by insurance yet. Im so very sorry your suffering so much but please dont give up there is something out there either surgery or maybe other conservative treament like this decompression machine . I always say seek 2 to 3 consults. I will tell you this I have no regrets from my surgery it gave me my life back . Please feel free to ask as many ? as you may need. Im just very sorry again your suffering right now.

Default Hello Karenlea

I want to welcome you to Neruo Talk. You will find alot of compassion here. There are alot of members in Cronic pain. Maybe there can be some more help for your pain. Do you go to a specialist for pain? There are other medications that can be added to give you some relief. I have the same condition. Glad you found this site. I came here much the same way you are, looking for help, and I just never left. You will make some good friends along the way. ginnie
