I am a trained medical professional who helps people here.

I also have my own medical problems. So I have training/education at choosing sites online to share with people here and help them advocate for themselves when the doctors are stymied or unhelpful. I search daily for new information about many medical problems. And believe me, some doctors do NOT keep up with medicine as one would hope for. I provide medical links for those posters here who would like to copy the information and take to their doctors for further discussion.
And I have special interest and training for supplement/complementary treatment for those want that information.

But I can only work with what people tell me.

I am also a moderator here, but I don't wear that hat 100% of the time either.

There are professionals here...careful because of liability insurance constraints etc. Many doctors, some of whom are anon but have their own problems. Many nurses, PTS sometimes, pharmacists, chiros sometimes, dental professionals. Some prefer to remain anon some reveal their connections. It is a unique blend often not found on the net. It allows for discussion, and revelation of treatments that may not be as good as people presume, at times.
Many doctors don't follow new drugs, new research at all, and many of us do. There are also very very intelligent non medical posters here who have been thru complex testing and treatments and share their results and knowledge when asked.

NeuroTalk is very unique. How you choose however to use our information and support is up to you.

The best thing you can do is to read stuff here... If you search my name and read some of my posts, you'll get a better gist of how I post here. There are all sorts of people and situations on NeuroTalk. But you will only see them if you read them.
