Hi Sarah,
I'm sorry to hear you are suffering so and not getting much help or relief from your doctors. Have you had any extensive blood, urine and/or stool testing to check for infection, nutrient/vitamin deficiencies, parasites, intestinal permeability (leaking gut), food allergies, or hormone imbalances? Eating healthy means different things to different people. I often find when working with clients that they are under the assumption that eating healthy means avoidance of fast or processed foods, soda and sugar. Of course it is those things but it is also an avoidance of chemical laden foods that have been genetically modified because our bodies are not designed to consume and metabolize pesticides and chemical modifications without causing some major disruptions in our bodily systems. Anyone can acquire allergies or sensitivities to food and/or have deficiencies and imbalances in their digestive, endocrine and detoxifying systems. Even those who truly eat very healthy! Sometimes the only signs of these problems are physical pain that mimics different types of neuropathy. Very frequently people have to seek Integrative medical care either from a Naturopathic or a Functional Medicine Dr or Nutritionist to help uncover the root cause of their physical pain because conventional medicine does not delve into nutrition or preventative health care. Unfortunately, the education that physicians receive is based around symptom relief, pharmacology and surgery. Unless the individual goes beyond the conventional teachings, there is no education about nutrition, prevention or getting to the root cause of the problem. Here are a couple of articles that go into vitamin deficiencies and PN. I hope you find them helpful! http://www.ninds.nih.gov/disorders/p...neuropathy.htm http://www.hormonesmatter.com/proges...al-neuropathy/ http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC4199287/ http://peripheralneuropathycenter.uc...utrition.shtml Bryanna Quote:
