I am suffering from involuntary movements of my body like shivering or facial grimacing. It started 7 years ago after severe attack of chicken pox. My friends tease me and I feel very embarrassed. I am told to do an MRI but am afraid of doing that. Is there anyone else here having same problem?

Hi Kapaalini
Welcome to NeuroTalk - I hope that you find the community as knowledgeable and supportive as I have ![]() Apart from the excellent suggestions that Skeezyks has made, involuntary body movements are a known side-effect of chickenpox. This case report might help you in talking about this with your health care team Myoclonus complicating chickenpox: A case report - MDS Abstracts. All the best.
