Hi Kristie,
That's a lot to deal with, for you and him. It must be a shock to both of you. ((((((((Kristie)))))))))) One thing I would mention is that vitamin B12 is very beneficial for nerves. If your brother has symptoms of low B12, I have lists of symptoms on my site, then if he begins taking it, it will help preserve his nerves, especially when it's so stressful. There's so much to know about vitamin B12... but one clue that someone is low on B12, is ridges on fingernails and lack of moon... ((((((((Kristie)))))))))

Welcome Krisie. I'm so sorry your brother has shingles. My husband had it and was just miserable with it. You need to get him to the dr. asap. Here is the link for our shingles forum.

Hi Kristie and welcome to NeuroTalk. I'm so sorry for you and your brother. My first thought was that I hoped Ms. Alffe would happen along because of her husband's horrible bout with shingles.
I had that once and it was a string of shingles that led into my breast and it was VERY uncomfortable and painful. As Alffe said, he should see a doctor asap for that. You'll find everyone here very caring and supportive so I'm glad you found us. ![]()
