Hi Miss Aimee! Welcome to NeuroTalk!

Take a look around and feel free to join in anywhere. You might benefit most from using the search engine located in the toolbar near the top of every page. Just plunk in some of your keywords to locate discussions about your specific symptoms. I hope you'll soon find some answers.

Hi Aimee and Welcome to NeuroTalk. My son had a nerve a couple of months ago for a shoulder procedure and I remember the anesthesiologist going over the possible side effects. One of them being stuffy nose, stiff neck....
I can't remember the rest of them, but since she was the one giving the info, it seems like your Anes. needs to recheck you. They are the ones that administer the block, so in my mind, they should investigate the repercussions from it. Good luck and keep us posted.

Oh, and please make yourself at home here..

Hi Miss Aimee,

You might want to read or post over in the TOS forum. Many of the members over there have had interscalene blocks and could shed some light on it.

I myself have had several and have had the Horners experience. Nerves are a very delicate thing in that area. THe injection may have touched one of them and might take a little longer to recover.

At the top of the TOS forum there is a sticky with some docs list who are experienced with these types of blocks. You could contact one of them and see if they could help.
