Hi all, I have never even posted on one of these message boards before! I'm here because my Dad died slowly of a head injury after falling off a ladder in 2004. I don't think I've ever dealt with it and realize I probably should have gotten counseling immediately afterward, but I can't afford it and frankly didn't want to dredge up the horror of it all. I think not really talking with others about the experience has stunted my life and I'm eager to meet others who know what it's like to lose someone like this, and others who are living with the changes and challenges from head injury survival.
